I kinda like the idea of jax becoming a cautionary tale of what happens when you let dysphoria and self hatred eat you alive. I've met so many of him IRL in my own circles. I think people need to hear it. I need more characters who eat themselves alive and actually have to suffer the consequences of not choosing to be better. It's pretty refreshing to see a different and nuanced take on dysphoria and how it doesn't always manifest the way you would expect.

The thing about transmisogyny and racism and such that kills is the part where the negative stereotypes paint an anti reality picture of real people and make them not real and that applies just as much to the positive imagery. Inspiration porn gets people killed. I genuinely don't think you have ever thought seriously about transphobia or abuse.
The people who cried "grooming" at drag story hour are the same people who programmed it into your head that a victim having an imperfect, toxic response to their trauma invalidates them as a person.
The fascists you gesture at are the same ones who agree with you that Jax is Problematic Rep that should be erased, they said the same thing about the Bridget Guilty Gear they made up in their heads.
I genuinely don't think anyone knows how to talk about demonization and what actually made queer villains a tool of anti-queerness. The thing that makes Scar in The Lion King an anti-gay trope is the idea that his evil is an essential, immutable essence of his gayness.
It's not the fact that he is conniving or evil, it's the idea that villain is the only spot he could possibly take as a gay. It's the structure of the story that the only possible way to be a protagonist is to be heterosexual.
Jax completely refutes every atom of that in every way, by herself. The fact that Jax is toxic as a trauma response to an abusive mom and unresolved gender issues is immediately, undeniably refuting the premise that she has to be a villain. It is directly offending transphobia and homophobia itself to say that she is a person with range and possibility.
It would be more amenable to transphobia to make Jax less caustic and more harmless like the villainy of Scar in The Lion King because it would make her more easily digestible.
