If falling in the water wasn't bad enough, now you gotta deal with the Badnik Jaws.

Orbinaut is tossing spikes your way.
Another Sonic 1 Badnik down, at this point I think I'll go through the entire roster. Which Badnik should I do next?
Buzz Buzz! Watch out for that blaster on the Badnik Buzz Bomber!
Keeping the Sonic theme going today with a Buzz Bomber made in picoCAD2. Figured out a few nice features today and tried to play around a little more with the animation tools. Hope you enjoy! Which Badnik should I try next?
Rolling around at the speed of bug, got places to go gotta follow my... bug
Made this Motobug model with picoCAD2 trying to play around a bit with the animation tools. Hope you enjoy!

The rings are in the computer!
Finally had some time to start playing around with picoCAD2 and what better way that with something Sonic themed.
Senorita Sabotender.
The Make It Rain event in FFXIV is coming to a close so my aggressive gambling campaign for Moogle Bucks has to come to an end. Here's a little drawing of the Senorita Sabotender minion to celebrate. I did the inking traditionally but the colouring digitally in Clip Studio, trying a few different workflow approaches with my practice.
It's a Browt sprout! Wonder what they could be thinking about?
Finally wrapped up with an animation project so cleaned up and reset my ink pens and dusted off my copics to get back in to some daily traditional illustration. Hope you enjoy!
@poketcg-art is doing an awesome Kanto card collab and I wanted to participate and did this illustration of Mega Mewtwo X based on this card from 5ban Graphics
Hope you all enjoy!
Gotta Catch a Few!
I made these pieces for a Kanto art collab on Newgrounds. Both the regular and shiny palettes for each. Been awhile since I did any ground up digital illustration rather than animation so just getting back in to the groove. Hope you like em!

Toedscool Animation Process
Recently the Toedscool animation I did seemed to get some decent traction so I wanted to make a little workflow post to share some of the steps and thought process that goes in to that kind of animation. Hopefully people find it interesting and maybe helpful.
There was a TCG redraw event held by Poketcg-art going on and I wanted to do something animated rather than just a still frame. I’ve had a lot of favourite card arts that have really inspired me and stuck with me to decide from but I wanted to go with the alt art by Akira Komayama from the Scarlet and Violet expansion set because I had pulled it recently and the vibrancy really struck me, also I really love Toedscool as a Pokemon.
I wanted to keep a similar aspect ratio to the original card rather than a landscape style so I set up my canvas and got to work. I started by getting the timing down for the run itself. I got my extremes and pass over positions set then started playing around with the timing, at first I tried some stuff on 2s and the motion wasn’t feeling as urgent as I wanted, then I tried a bit of a hybrid timing and it still wasn’t there. Making a few adjustments to the positioning and putting it on 1s seemed to do the trick.
The next step was cleaning the legs. Once I had the line cleaned how I liked I decided to play around with the timing again to see it from a different perspective and see if I felt differently about it. I moved around some of the leg positioning because some frames felt a little too “sticky” and then went ahead to clean the head element once I felt good with the legs and shadow movement.
The FX pass came next and I tried to interpret what some of the elements would be, the smoke trail behind the feet was the easiest to consider because it felt the least abstract of all the elements so I started there. Then I worked on adding the shockwave type effects bursting off the body and the flare trail effect on the eye. I played around with the speed a bit and felt that the elements were getting a little too flashy, but after playing around I decided to just trust the process and move on to the colour splotches. After that I worked in a couple more abstract elements which helped bring that pass together.
Moving to the background elements I started with the Foreground twigs/leaves and at first had them move horizontally until I realized that wasn’t making sense with the perspective/angle so I adjusted the angle and started adding in the other elements.
Throwing on the artist stamp is the last thing that brings the piece together. I hope you enjoyed this breakdown, my main point I’d like to convey is how much iteration is involved and that it’s okay to change your mind and adjust the plan as you go, it's an evolution... (get it, Pokemon...) I have some more animations coming soon so stay tuned! And if you want to see more animation WIPs/Tutorials maybe that is something I can do.
