defending glinda is like. she probably did do whatever you're accusing her of but just not in that scene. she is a terrible and self-serving person but just not in the way you're saying. she reaps what she sows but also there's a lot to empathize with. her ending up alone makes narrative sense and is the most poignant way to end her arc but the obsession some people have with punishing her does feel vaguely rooted in misogyny and i do think more people would be kinder to her if she were a man. she has the tightest writing in the musical but it's also clear so many of the writing choices with her are rooted in misogyny
