Ornate tattoos that cover her arms from shoulder to wrist, and legs from hip to ankle; additionally, one covering her ribs just below her breasts. They bear a multitude of nautical motifs such as sea turtles, sea birds, sunbeams, etc.; acquired during her time in Limsa Lominsa.
One additional tattoo across her back and shoulders in a notably different style than those on the rest of her body - this one taking the form of an ornate set of scales, obtained after her relocation to Ul’dah.

Separated from her family after their merchant ship sank somewhere in the Rhotano, Tanith was left to fend for herself as an orphan on the streets of Limsa Lominsa. Between the ages of 9 and 17 she subsisted as an urchin, in a primarily solitary existence; if you were a resident of Limsa during this time, or living the same mean streets, you may recognize her as the formerly scrappy young Sea Wolf lass brawling for food and coin.
An Arrangement of Convenience
After training both with the Pugilists Guild, and in the art of the Monk, to polish the skills she picked up as a pit and street scrapper, Tanith took up the work of a hired hand. While this usually falls under the umbrella of guarding merchant shipments, body guarding, or escorting folks across Eorzea, she boasts an array of job skills she’s comfortable in employing. At the time, her most frequent employer is the Alchemist’s guild guarding new students performing field work.
Though she’s never had a long-term, proper student she’d also be willing to teach anyone the proper form and technique to defend themselves bare-handed. If you’re looking for the balance, inner-peace, chakra business…find yourself a real monk, she ain’t it.
Though she’s seen, nor heard, any news of her family since the night of the storm that sank their vessel, she’s kept heart that she may not have been the sole survivor. A head injury sustained in the chaos has left her with holes in her memory, including the loss of her own true name, her parent’s full names, and with but a childhood nickname of her brother’s. Her father was a prolific merchant, traveling from La Noscea to as far as Kugane with his family, and had trade permits in every port. With an ear to the ground, she would be willing to pay good coin, or trade in useful skills for information on her family.
