Me at the end of last month: This pride month I’m gonna dye my hair, buy a lesbian pin, and put myself out there so maybe a girl will notice me and ask me out! :D
Me now halfway through this month, Hair still not dyed, no lesbian pin, has left the house like 4 times and no girls have noticed me let alone asked me out, after another all nighter with plans to sleep all day: …damn it.

How do yall make friends 😭?
So I recently watched Agatha All Along again and I have some questions...
1- Is Agatha really able to control her powers?
In episode 7, her not being able to control her powers is made like a whole thing, especially in regards to her relationship with her mother. When Evanora says something along the lines of “I knew your evil the moment you were born" or "I ought to have killed you the moment you left my body" or something like that, it implies that Agatha could use her powers at a very young age, complicating her childhood innocence etc, if that makes sense. All of that meaning and character depth for Agatha and her upbringing and backstory and stuff would be thrown out the window if Agatha really COULD control her powers her powers, and all that Evanora meant was that Agatha was born evil, which is just lazy and overused. However, in episode 8, Agatha is shown to be able to stop taking Billy's powers because he asks her not to take too much. You could argue that she can't control starting to take the powers but she can control stopping, which is a bit ehh.. I don't know how to describe it, it just feels messy and unnecessary. Plus, that means that she could've stopped draining Alice's power at some point in episode 7, which makes her saying that she can't control it just meaningless. I know Agatha's immortality is a big part of her character and I'm not trying to say that all of her actions should have a justifying, tragic backstory behind them or any of that stuff, just that all of that emphasis that was put on Agatha's backstory and mother and stuff in episode 7 would just go to waste if Agatha were to just have been born evil.
I understand the importance of making the audience sympathise with the character only to reveal that the character was tricking them all along, but dedicating a whole *episode* to it? Not only that but then Agatha being able to control her powers wouldn't even have gotten a proper reveal, just something that happens in episode 8 and the only importance that's put on it is the moral question of "Do we trust that Agatha will choose morality over pleasure and power?” and not the revelation that “WTF so Agatha really COULD control it that whole time?”. I think it would be really bad writing for Agatha to have been able to control her powers the whole time, or a big plothole for Agatha to have not been able to control her powers and still somehow do so in episode 8.
2- How exactly DID Agatha die in episode 8?
Some people say it was because she kissed Rio, yk the whole "kiss of death" thing, which is supported by the black stem-things sprouting from her lips across her face as she kisses Rio, but then again, if killing Rio would kill her and she knew this, does this mean that that one episode when Billy got hurt and Agatha was upset and Rio came up to her and comforted her and then Agatha tried to kiss her, Agatha was really trying to kill herself-? Not only is that just a really random thing for Agatha to do all of a sudden with the lack of build up for it but also the show just doesn't treat it like nearly as big of a deal as it would've been if that was the true intention of the scene. Plus, then that would mean that Rio massively underreacted to the action.
Other people say that it was Agatha taking Rio's power that killed her, hence her saying "You know that would kill me" in response to Rio mentioning something about Agatha taking her power in, I think, Alice's episode. But then, the way Agatha's power works is that she can only take someone's powers if they attack her with it first. Rio WASN'T using her power on Agatha then, and yet her green magic stuff appeared around them-? You could argue that Rio WAS using her powers on Agatha and was actually killing her with the KISS, which just brings us back to my first point in which I explained why the "Kiss of Death" theory makes no sense.
You could also argue that Agatha only died because Rio correctly understood that Agatha kissing her meant Agatha accepting the deal and offering herself to her, but then what was the point of the black stuff sprouting from her lips if the kiss had absolutely nothing to do with it?
Maybe I've just been watching the show with my eyes closed and those questions all have really simple, common sense meanings. Someone help please, it's giving me a headache😞

Florence Welch will literally write albums upon albums of music about how she's always felt ostracised from femininity, that it feels for her like a performance she can't escape, and even give a whole interview about her upcoming album being inspired by how a pregnancy almost killed her and how coming to terms with this made her feel alienated from her body and gender..... And STILL the majority of her mainstream fans will still talk about her work like "omg yes divine feminine womanhood queen of fairy girls uwu". I really hate how so many ppl just don't actually listen to music or care about what it's about. The "fairy-ification" of artists like Florence Welch, Hoizer, Fiona Apple, Mitski, Tamino, Kate Bush, etc, all of whom create music that's rooted in specific social and cultural themes, but the complexity and artistic intention is often totally flattened into !!uwu fairy girlhood in the woods vibes!!! Truly hate this brain switched off vibes based era of music engagement.
Why make so many shippable characters if i have to fit in a neat little box and only ship what “makes the most sense” or is canon. I reject your norms and now everyone is gay and dating each other in different universes, congrats.
if i dont get a girlfriend this june i fear im going to be very sad
Ships where they understand each other so deeply and vividly like no one else can that they can also hurt each other so astronomically like no one else can.>>>

honestly yall just gotta be comfortable reading books that make you feel stupid
read books that you don't understand. read books where you have to pay attention. read books that make you reread a page eight times to figure it out. read books that you need to take notes on. read books with words you have to google. read books that don't make sense without research on the setting. read books that make you feel stupid because otherwise you'll just be stupid.
everyone who responded to this like "every book makes me feel stupid because xyz" okay but you're reading. you're trying. you're putting in the effort and it will get easier with practice. no matter how dumb you feel and how dumb you think the book you're reading is, if you're struggling and you still do it, you're actively working to make yourself smarter.
I think we all forget how many people just don't read. ever.
every day I learn bot comments on ao3 are stooping lower and lower
anyway if you get a comment like this, chances are that they are bot and their goal is to do whatever it takes to get you to delete your work, most certainly (from what I’ve heard) it’s because they want to “safely” steal your work, use it to train their ai without you being able to rightfully claim ownership of your work since “there’s no proof that the work was stolen/was posted elsewhere first by you” because the original source has already been deleted.
THEY ARE ALL BOTS. at first it was “ao3 is deleting fics and your entire account will be affected unless you delete the fics yourself” then it was “this work contains contents that are illegal and they have already reported you and your fic to the police” (yes, that’s how desperate these bots are), and now it’s this.
report their comments to ao3 for spam—in this case, specifically, I think you may be able to report them for harassment too—and don’t pay attention to them, most importantly don’t delete your works, don’t feel discouraged by their comments. remember that they are bots and they mass comment something like this on people’s works at random to get people to delete their works. (or even if they’re not bot, they are still pathetic bullies who don’t deserve your time or attention.)

I love non-sexual intimacy.
Like let me sit your lap with your hands on my waist while I talk your ear off about something stupid that I just feel like telling you about. Let me play with your hands. Let me run my nails along your muscles to relax you. Lay your head in my lap while I scratch your head so you can fall asleep. Let’s cuddle while we watch tv at night in a dim lounge room with only the soft light of a lamp. Let me brush your hair and play with it. Let me literally just exist in your space.
An older woman would fix me ❤️❤️❤️
