And I love that the show makes an EFFORT to show that it is a genuine issue that Cooper needs to keep an eye on. He keeps loads of spare vials on him at all times, he panics when he runs out, even when he's busy doing something he'll sometimes need to pause to take his meds or go on a detour to FIND his meds. Not to mention, based on dialogue from s1, it's implied that Ghouls have support networks in place with other Ghouls to give each other spare vials when they're running low. It could so easily just be a random bit of lore they chuck out in one scene to justify the existance of feral Ghouls and why Cooper isn't feral and then never adress it again, but they DON'T, they acknowledge the disability that comes with needing the vials, and they show the different methods that people go about attaining them, and it's one of the many reasons I love the Fallout show as much as I do.
