Sorry to be speaking of this again but I think the "Max will judge Lucy for liking violence now" is pissing me off not only because it's a shitty take but also because it's infantilizing and diminishing both Max and Lucy's characters.
Max wouldn't "judge" Lucy for being violent, because he understands that sometimes it's neccesary. Sometimes that's how you survive in the wasteland. He's done so himself to protect his life and even urged Lucy to do the same when they encountered the fiends (and then resorted to violence himself once she wasn't capable). He wouldn't judge her for it.
And Lucy doesn't "like to be violent". She stared at her own shaky hand with eyes filled with guilt after killing the Kings. She cried over having to bash Welch's severed head even when she begged her to. She wouldn't have killed the Kings or killed the man in Sonny's shop had she not been hooked on chems because of her injuries. Lucy doesn't like violence, she's a victim of the circumstances.
Can y'all just watch the damn show before making these takes online 😭😭
Mind you by the time he's reunited with Lucy in s2 Max has killed two people and planned to kill a third (and that's just over 4 episodes)

Still so glad they steered clear of Barb being the typical bitch wife the narrative wants you root against by framing everything through the POV of her fan-favorite (white) husband, instead giving us time to see what pressures she is under. And not just that, they also don't go for the cheap shot of making Coop hate her.
They're adults who love each other, they're also part of a fascist machine, they're in a shit situation (partly of their own doing), and they try to communicate about it as much as they can. Of course it's not perfect! Coop is politically, systematically unable to grasp what Barb tried to warn him about (he still trusts his government, for now) and she might still be deceiving him in some way (because him knowing too much would doom him and Janey). But it's sooo refreshing. Organic clusterfuck without the tired misogynistic tropes my beloved. I do hope the writers keep that vibe going
"You can watch Fallout TV without previous knowledge on the games" no, you can't. I went into my first watch of season 1 having not played the games and mostly read Reddit posts which made me spend half of season 1 thinking that Max thought the Brotherhood were the ones who destroyed Shady Sands and he "wanted to become a knight" to get revenge on them

Need Fallout s3 to have Lucy in a scene like this
I keep seeing posts that are like... arguing for Max & Lucy in the Fallout TV show and I'm... confused. I'm confused because I'm wondering when this was ever in question? It's been very clear from the very beginning in season 1 that this was the show's dedicated pairing? Like... you don't have to try to convince anyone? It's... that's what's going to happen? I don't... I don't know who... so, yeah... I'm confused.
I mean, I know there's discord in the fan-fic community (when isn't there) about who Lucy should be with (like she's a fucking party favor) but like... the show's going to go with Max. Because the world at large is so not ready for the Ghoul. Any Ghoul, really. And it's clear that Cooper & Barb are like... it. They didn't hate each other, they didn't divorce because they wanted to. They still love each other.
What people write about, who they chose to ship - different beast all together. That's how this whole head canon thing works. So, again - confused. Don't stress about it, don't get worked up about it. It'll be Max, if anyone at all.

Max is probably going to have some major Shady Sands trauma to deal with next season. The Legion isn't the same as a nuke, but it is a similar existential threath, and I think he's going to make sure that what happened to Shady Sands never happens to New Vegas. Being surrounded by NCR Troopers and Rangers again, trying to defend against the Legion, is going to remind him of everything he lost.
