"and quite right too." aurelia was dancing on the table as soon as may suggested it. she wasn't concerned that she was dancing in high heels on a high table, she had done this plenty of times before. aurelia gladly takes the shot even though she's sure she doesn't need it. "i have plenty of courage without the alcohol but thank you."

"maybe  you're  on  the  road  to  reform.  who  am  i  to  judge?"  vinnie  knows  her  a  little  better  than  that,  but  he's  always  been  a  bit  of  tease.  "are  you  offering?  that's  so  sweet,"  he  says,  shooting  her  a  grin.  "oh,  you  were  serious  about  the  night  being  young.  kimmy  wouldn't  like  us  getting  shitfaced  during  her  night  of  honor."  neither  would  his  manager,  not  that  either  of  those  facts  had  stopped  him  before.  if  anything,  his  words  so  clearly  contradict  his  actions.  thankfully,  her  drink  of  choice  doesn't  taste  too  bad,  which  means  emptying  the  glass  in  one  go  isn't  too  much  of  a  difficulty.

"me, on the road to reform? i could never." secretly she wishes she could be on the road to reform. she doesn't want to be a party girl forever but she feels like she made her bed and now she has to lie in it. when he mentions kimmy not liking them getting shitfaced, she shrugs. the party girl in her didn't care. "who cares what kimmy thinks. fuck kimmy, i came here to have fun."

Alexis was dressed to the nines in her outfit that made their platinum hair stand out even more so. With a drink in one hand and their phone in the other, she scrolled on some social media as they walked before bumping into someone's back. "Oh my bad, I didn't see you there. " She mentioned. "So...what you think so far? Dinner was alright, but I'm ready for the afterparty to actually start." Ale sounded off excitingly.

when aurelia was bumped into, she almost said look where you're going, bitch until she noticed who it was. not that she's one to censor herself but she figured there was no use in biting the head off someone she partied with on the regular. "bitch, you and i are on the same wavelength because same."

               there's  a  heavy  sigh  as  they  flop  themselves  down  next  to  the  other,  without  any  manners  regarding  if  the  seat  was  open  or  not.  alcohol  coursed  through  their  veins  at  a  steady  rate,  allowing  them  to  feel  as  though  they  were  floating  through  the  event  with  ease;  cheeks  slightly  flushed  to  notify  those  around  her  that  yes,  she  has  been  drinking.   “   have  you  been  people  watching?  because  there  are  some  interesting  people  around  here  tonight.   ”

if aurelia had were honest, she had been people watching. observing people was one of her favorite things to do but she was too concerned with keeping up appearances to admit that. no one wanted to see her be the introspective & observant person she actually was. "baby, i don't people watch. i am the person people watch."

aurelia wasn't the kind of person people usually just came up to and talked to so she was a little surprised when narisa came up to her. the question didn't surprise her though, it seemed on brand for the editor. "well, i think the best dressed is obviously going to me but i dunno about worst dressed. maybe leo espina?" she was just saying that because she didn't like him. no other reason. "or like...really, any of the guys. their outfits are all so boring."

jesus. he sounds like such a chauvinist dickhead when she talks about him. but it wasn't about him being a knight or her being a damsel — he was genuinely just concerned and wanted to help. "alright, fine," he says, hoping the party lights obscure how his cheeks are burning. he feels so embarrassed, like he can never do anything right no matter how good his intentions are. "i'll never help you or anyone else ever again."

deep down, aurelia appreciated that leo wanted to help her. but her public persona was the kind of person who didn't need anyone's help and she was all about keeping up appearances. the real aurelia feels bad for leo but the fake one that she's playing right now doesn't give a shit if she hurt his feelings. "good. or at least...help people who need it, yeah?"

"i  know  i  can  handle  it.  you  sure  you  can?"  vinnie  asks,  smirk  not  quite  fading  off  of  his  face.  "don't  worry,  i  haven't  kissed  anyone  tonight yet,"  he  chuckles,  taking  nothing  more  than  a  quick  sip.  it's  good,  albeit  definitely  strong.  it  doesn't  matter  though,  because  he's  the  last  person  to  back  down  from  a  challenge  regardless  if  it's  done  in  jest  or  not.  "i  think  you're  going  easy  on  me,  or  you're  losing  your  tastebuds,"  vinnie  jokes.  his  own  drink  is  set  on  the  bartop,  bringing  it  into  his  hands  in  clinking  it  against  aurelia's.  "cheers."

"are you really questioning what i can handle?" aurelia asks with an arched eyebrow. "the night is still young," she muses as he takes his sip of her drink. when he suggests that she's going easy on him, she can't help but scoff. "i'm not going easy on you. we're just getting started, my friend." she smirks again before clinking their glasses together. "cheers."

aurelia made a b-line for the bar as soon as she was let into the party. she figured whoever was at the bar was ready to fucking party which is exactly what she needed. when she heard the blonde recommend the spicy margarita, she nodded. "oh, i know you just didn't doubt my ability to handle tequila." she raises an eyebrow as if to say challenge accepted. "i'll take a spicy marg," she tells the bartender.

he  lets  out  a  little  laugh  at  aurelia's  challenge,  raising  an  eyebrow  as  he  turns  towards  her.  "oh,  those  are  fighting  words.  doubting  me,  of  all  people?"  vinnie  smirks,  because  of  course  he  can.  though  not  every  rumor  written  about  him  was  true,  this  one  certainly  was.  far  too  many  years  in,  and  this  lifestyle  had  become  second-nature  to  him.  "come  on,  she's  taking  too  long,  let  me  have  a  sip,"  he  says,  eyes  flickering  down  to  the  glass  in  her  hands  before  returning  to  her  face,  coy  expression  forming  across  his  features.

aurelia was the kind of person who never backed down from a challenge even when the cards were stacked against her. but this was a friendly challenge. "maybe i am doubting you, what are you gonna do about it?" she asks, a devilish grin on appearing on her face. she grimaces, thinking it's unsanitary to share glasses but alas, it wouldn't be very party girl of her to say no. so she licks her lips and pushes the glass towards him. "be my guest."
