a/n: Okay it turns out I have a lot more to say about boyfriend Chanyeol and to not make this too long i’m gonna turn the headcanon into a mini series. I hope you enjoy! Feedback and comments are appreciated!

No one was surprised when the both of you officially became a couple

You just fit together so well

On the first date you had been nervous

Wondering if it was going to be awkward now you weren’t just friends anymore

But honestly it was a great first date

The first few minutes were slightly awkward as you tried to navigate this new territory

But after that the both of you just went back to how you always were but with more intimacy

You totally understood why dating your best friend was praised

He’d taken you out for a fancy meal and then toned down the evening with a trip to the cinema

The classic touching hands while reaching for popcorn moment had to happen

It just did

But he was just perfect

Of course Chanyeol had his flaws but so did you

And honestly they weren’t anything bad

Nothing you couldn’t ignore

Hopefully he could ignore yours too

Naturally there was the occasional fight, mostly petty ones

Like Chanyeol losing against you in literally anything

But they were quick to be resolved

He usually caved quickly unless they were serious

Even then it didn’t last too long

You were quick to give in too normally, I mean come on it is Chanyeol

As soon as you switched to dating, well honestly in the feelings stage too

There were times when your jealousy spiked

You knew fans were a big part of it all and for the most part you loved them

Obviously not as much as the boys did but they were special

And of course you trusted your boyfriend completely no doubt about that but oh wow some fans…

You agreed with a lot of the things they said, he was a pretty boy, a little prince, their angel and whatever else you could dream of

But sometimes it went too far, you were also fine with the dirty things to a degree but it when it crossed into straight out disgusting,

You just wanted to wrap your giant baby in a blanket and never let him into the world again

Keep him safe

Also especially from hate

You couldn’t count on your fingers the amount of times that poor boy had come to you crying about hate

Or getting mobbed

You’d been caught up in a few yourself and it was awful

Security should be so much better for them

You wouldn’t get started on how shitty SM were though

It would take forever

But the next time Chanyeol came to you overworked and crying, you were going to snap

You were always there to comfort

Calm him down and make him feel better

But you silently cursed the world for ever thinking it was okay to hurt him like this

He was always there to comfort you too, during hate and rough days

Anyways most of your time was spent in his studio

You would spend hours just listening to his work

And whatever songs he was trying to recommend

You made sure to give your honest opinions on whatever he was working on

Knowing Chanyeol would only want the truth

But there weren’t many you didn’t enjoy, your boy was talented

You made sure to tell him that along with many other praises

Praises were a big thing in the relationship

Sometimes there were compliment battles to see who would blush the most

For such a competitive guy Chanyeol always lost

He just looked so pretty with his flushed cheeks

And his red ears omg

It always made him so happy too, it really didn’t take long to have a big cuddly baby on your hands

You loved to spoil him

For his birthday you’d saved up for an expensive guitar he’d mentioned wanting a few times

The dent in your bank account was worth it

Just for the soft look on his face but especially those massive, excited puppy eyes

He was also spoilt with cuddles

Cuddles 24/7 yeah boi

You didn’t think it was possible to cuddle that much

Whenever he was available Chanyeol had you wrapped up in his arms

Or him in yours depending on the mood

One way or another the two of you just came together like magnets

Affections were definitely important in the relationship

There were a multitude of kisses

A good morning kiss (morning breath be damned) and a good evening kiss whenever you spent the night together

Surprise kisses

Kisses were you just lay in bed on a miraculous double day off and smooched all day

Those were nice

Forehead kisses, soft little pecks whenever either of you felt the need

It was toned down in public so of course in private you had to make up for lost kisses

Chanyeol was always such a sweetheart when it came to little things to confess his love

He tended to spam you with either love messages or pics

Sometimes both

It became a lot worse when they were away and you missed each other

You received some of the most random and often dorkiest pics ever but it was also super cute

Selfies were a must also

And very much Chanyeol

Sometimes he liked to hide little post it notes full of love messages for you to find

You had them saved in a box and looked at them whenever he was away from you

How you’d lucked out with the sweetest guy, you’d never know

You knew Chanyeol as friends before debut and the other boys basically came a package deal once the group had been formed

An extra present you didn’t ask for but certainly love a lot

They were the sweetest boys when you first met them, all so baby faced and ready to face the world

Now you were super close and all they did was tease you, in general but mostly about the relationship

They had pulled you aside and told you that you better not break Chanyeol’s heart

And then done the same with Chanyeol

It was kinda adorable

Especially when he came to you afterwards with a big pout and sad eyes

“I would never dare break your heart.”

“I know baby, I wouldn’t break yours either.”

Can you guess what happened after that?

Cuddles happened

The boys went straight back to teasing

His favourite place to travel to was Japan

So more often than not you would take quick getaways there

It didn’t bother you, japan was a beautiful place

Chanyeol liked to think he was good with directions but there were plenty of times when you ended up lost

“Honestly Google maps is completely at fault here.”

Sometimes you took the lead after that but if there was no particular rush, you were happy to let him try again

You mostly went sightseeing and eating at a lot of restaurants

You went to so many that now you had a rating list in your phone for future reference

Both of you studied Japanese together, but he was a lot better at sticking to it

Wanting to communicate with his Japanese fans being a big motivator

Though his motivation in general was amazing

It was something you always envied

How driven he was

He was super energetic and yet always down to cuddle

They were practically twins

You visited his parents to see the fluffball all the time, sometimes with Chanyeol but mostly without him

He enjoyed seeing pics of you two together anyway

Especially if he was away

Johnny is an idol that is used to everyone falling at his feet, everyone wanted to be with him for his money.

All that changes when he bumps into you at a club.

For appreciation to all my favorites. This year was a lot. It was long and kinda shitty, but everyone that I met made it so much better. That includes each and every one of y'all.

First off, WOW WHEN DID THERE BECOME 94 OF Y'ALL FOLLOWING OUR DUMBASSES. We both thank you guys so much for sticking with us and putting up with our (even tho dydy is on hiatus) shenanigans. We’re also both terribly sorry that we suck at messaging.
