One of the most intimate things I can see Katniss and Peeta doing is resting a hand over the other's heart. Just picture them cuddling in bed, feeling each other's heart beating. After all they went through, they'd want to bask in the feeling of being alive, together.

"Peeta deserved better than Katniss."

That take is just so wrong. Without going into details, how can you read the whole og trilogy and still think Katniss doesn't deserve good things, including the boy she loves? I'm sorry but if you don't see how caring and compassionate Katniss is under her hard cover, you've missed something very relevant about her character. And Peeta is not perfect, he has flaws just like anyone else (I say that as the self proclaimed biggest Peeta fangirl on this website).

Long story short: They very much deserve each other.
