You do something to me
Something that simply mystifies me Tell me, why should it be, You have the power to hypnotize me?
The assistants had gathered around the couple to appreciate the first dance. The neatly-made decorations and arragements softly traced every table, wall, and the floor itself; very light blue and white scheme made everything delicate, worthy of everybody's praise and attention. They were as close as they could possibly be, in their own tiny world of each other. Mellow music played; a heartwarming rendition of a classic everybody knew all too well, but if fit perfectly. Everything fit perfectly, everything fit lovely, from the time and place to Nathaniel's smitten expression. He barely took his eyes away from those blue eyes, and he was sure he'd not seen Nathan draw his.
It was small, bit more than a hundred people. That was small by Nathaniel's standards, the man who could play an entire room full of people into listening and looking at him with pleasure. It was private; it felt homey, and Parker's lips refused to stop smiling.
"God, I love this song," he said, voice thickened by emotion. He breathed deeply before speaking again, examining, trying to memorize every single part of Nathan. "I love you."
"I love you more." He didn't think it was possible for Nate's face to get any more betwitching, but much like anything he assumed about the man before him, he was proven wrong. Nate's eyes seemed to be subtly blinking away a glint, and Parker's knees instantly felt feeble, but he continued to dance.
Though the song was short, the instruments kept playing for a few more minutes and they didn't stop their gentle steps, everybody looking at them and only them. Nathan resumed for hiding his face in Parker's neck for those last tender notes, and when the song ended, Parker rubbed the man's back, pressing their lips together with no more intent than to somewhat, share that happiness with something other than words.
Let me live 'neath your spell Do do that voodoo that you do so well For you do something to me That nobody else could do
If it didn't work, the song alone would do it.
