One rainy evening in Melburnian suburbia, a loud rattle of a door surprise a young couple, only to find the person at the door to be an estranged mother. Or: Several years have passed since leaving the small town, Naim and Ryan are living a quiet life until Naim's mother decides to pay a visit.
So, um, I offer this to the Leviticus Fanfic world. Hope people enjoy?

Hello Tumblr! I'm trying to work out some worldbuilding details about Leviticus (2026) so I can maybe write some fanfics.
Writing as a Canberran who only recently started studying in Melbourne, I have very little knowledge about rural Victoria/Australia. So here are some questions:
What are some things I should know about rural Victoria/Australia? Like the way people talk, slang, any specific cultures I should know about?
If some internet sleuths can find out, which public transport routes did Naim and Ryan take in the film? (or potentially which parts of Victoria one could compare to where the film could narratively be set?)
What are some services young people can get in the scenario of being homeless and looking for housing, having to drop out of Year 11 (inferring from Naim and Ryan being 17) and wanting to return to education without a parent/guardian? What about Centrelink payments? (I'm interested in looking at Victoria but maybe other states and territories too!)
I would also love some opinions and analysis of Naim and Ryan's characters! (I'll be lurking around for that also!)
explain your gender in 10 words or less without using boring words like âmaleâ, âfemaleâ, ânonbinaryâ, âmasculineâ, âfeminineâ or âandrogynousâ.

âBecause the truth is, tech doesnât have an image problem. It doesnât have a message problem. It has an intention problem. Whatâs wrong with the axe murderer who broke into my house is not that he hasnât successfully persuaded me to buy into his narrative. Whatâs wrong is that heâs trying to kill me with an axe. Similarly, when you launch a product thatâs designed to put millions of people out of work, block access to sources of verifiable truth, replace human creativity with slop, and lower the barriers to every sort of atrocity, the problem isnât that you havenât told the public a good story about those things. The problem is that you are trying to do them.â
The Heartstopper webcomicâs first update dropped on September 1st 2016. Today, on April 11th 2026, the story has concluded.
I donât quite know how to put all of my feelings into one letter. Heartstopper means more to me than words can express, but Iâll try my best.
Heartstopper has defined the past decade of my life. It started as a fun side project and quickly grew into something much bigger, eventually becoming my career. Despite that huge and unexpected change, making the Heartstopper comic feels the same to me as it did on day one. When I sit down to make Heartstopper, I feel at peace. When the world feels so scary and difficult, I have been able to return to Heartstopper, and everything feels okay again for a little while.Â
Nick and Charlie first appeared as supporting characters in my first novel, âSolitaireâ. In Solitaire, Nick and Charlie represent the idea that hope, love, joy and connection can persist and thrive despite the trials and tribulations of being alive. So maybe itâs ironic that Nick and Charlie have come to represent this in my own life. They have brought me joy. They have given me purpose. They have given me everything, really. And Iâm so grateful for every moment I have spent with them.
Heartstopper is profoundly special to me. Which makes it extremely hard to say goodbye.
But it is time. I always knew that Nick going to university would be the end point of the story. And despite how sad I am to be bidding farewell to these characters, I am so, so proud and excited to have made it to the end and concluded the story exactly the way I wanted to.
Any webcomic creator can tell you that making a webcomic requires a heavy amount of determination and endurance. To draw a page almost every day for the past ten years has required a lot of sacrifice and a lot of energy. But every moment was worth it. And now that it is complete, Nick and Charlieâs story can be experienced from beginning to end, for the rest of forever.
I wouldnât have made it here alone. From the very start, Heartstopperâs readers have offered so much support, love, community, conversation, and enthusiasm. Knowing that there are people out there who love these characters just like I do has given me the strength to keep going. Iâve also had the support of many colleagues, friends, and family members, whoâve all helped in different ways at various points in the past decade. Thank you so, so much to everyone who has been here for the journey.Â
I have no idea what Iâll make next. For now, Iâm taking a break. And I know that Nick and Charlie wonât simply vanish. I expect I will always return to drawing them and writing about them, probably in smaller ways, for the rest of my life, as long as my body allows.
Nick and Charlie will forever be in my heart, hand in hand on a beach somewhere.

People still tend to lump JK Rowling in with the category of ~problematic artists~ and I need everyone to understand that is not the problem with her. She is not comparable to anyone who wrote a piece of fiction you hate, or someone who made rude comments in 2015 and has since learned better.
She is far more like Elon Musk. She is a radicalized person with an extreme amount of social and financial power, and for YEARS she has been using that power to try to influence her government into hurting vulnerable people, on purpose. And she has succeeded. THAT is the problem with her, and THAT is why spending money on her books is so dangerous, not because her books aged badly.
Critiquing her work is fine, of course (I personally was never a fan so I really donât care) but you NEED to understand that fiction is not the main issue here. And I truly think acting like sheâs the same as the rest of any giant list of ~problematic creators of the week~ waters down how dangerous she is.
i have to reblog this again because i go insane when people act like the problem with her is "its cringe for adults to like kids media" or like "the books sucked anyways" like those are completely irrelevant and try to shift the blame and focus from the active harm. even the fact the books also have bioessentialism and antisemitism is a whole different conversation
I think we, as a general community, need to start taking this little moment more seriously.
This, right here? This is asking for consent. Itâs a legal necessity, yes, but it is also you, the reader, actively consenting to see adult content; and in doing so, saying that you are of an age to see it, and that youâre emotionally capable of handling it.
You find the content you find behind this warning disgusting, horrifying, upsetting, triggering? You consented. You said you could handle it, and you were able to back out at any time. You take responsibility for yourself when you click through this, and so long as the creator used warnings and tags correctly, you bear full responsibility for its impact on you.
âChildren are going to lie about their ageâ is probably true, but thatâs the problem of them and the people who are responsible for them, not the people that they lie to.
If youâre not prepared to see adult content, created by and for adults, donât fucking click through this. And if you do, for all thatâs holy, donât blame anyone else for it.
Except this is the last line of consent before the actual work. So if youâre at this button you have already done the following:
1) chosen to go onto AO3 in the first place
2) chosen the fandom you wish to read about
3) had the chance to filter for the things you do want to see like a specific pairing or a specific AU
4) had the chance to specifically filter out any tags you donât want to see like, oh I donât know, incest and non-con and dub-con and paedophilia
5) had the chance to set the rating level if you wish to remove any explicit content at all
6) have read the summary of the story, which arenât always great but are the only indicator of what the story will be like writing wise so something about it was good enough for you to click on it.
7) have read the tags of the story which will tell you what is actually in the story. If you have used filters to remove stories with things you donât want then there shouldnât be anything in here thatâs a shock to you but maybe there is. Thatâs why the tags are there for you to check for yourself.
8) Then you have to actually click on the story. You cannot see anything other than the summary or the tags without personally deciding that you are going to open and read this story.
9) Only here, at step number nine, do you get to the adult content warning pictured above. You have been through eight different steps, the last six of which have also been opportunities for you to see that this has adult content. And AO3 has *STILL* stopped you to ask one last time âare you sure you want to read this because it has things that only adults should see in itâ.
If after this point you are reading incest and paedophilia then itâs probably because you specifically went looking for it.
This is the most beautiful thing that I have seen about ao3.
Update with this since people keep mixing stuff in here.
First. If the fanfic havenât been tagged properly you have the option ,as reader, to report a tagging problem and the ao3 will add the necessary tags .
Second. the fanfic writer is not responsible if thereâs a minor reading their work. They do have the responsibility of tagging properly, but thatâs it. If you as a minor decided to lie and read something tha you shouldnât thatâs on you or the adult responsible of your internet.
I personally donât like incest or any pedo stuff, but I canât policy fiction content. What I can do is filter what I consume.
If we go with the pedo stuff. You guys do know that thereâs a lot of underage people writing those fanfics right?? Itâs not jus adults writing fanfic.
The amount of 13/14 year olds writing stories were they put themselves in situations with Adults is incredible.
Banning the content will only make the people migrate to another platform with less warning systems. Look at Wattpad, they donât have a tagging system, and because they are a private itâs really difficult to stopped them.
Use the tools that ao3 gives you to help create a better and safe space for everyone!! Adults or minors, LGBTQ or not, kinks or not kinks
I started drawing this when the Young Royals Season 3 promo shots were published. I didnât end up finishing them but I wanted to at least post what I have done :)

genuinely kind of funny seeing how many people complaining about silksong difficulty
honestly I actually REALLY enjoy how they've done Hornet's gameplay compared to the Knight's. it feels right, lore-wise
the Knight was like a tank, able to take hits, heal what they needed when they needed, and mindlessly attack back with little to no complex strategy
Hornet is so much more complicated. she's faster, much more agile, but also way more frail. it honestly makes sense that so many enemies do two masks worth of damage because unlike the vessels, Hornet wasnt engineered to endure
legitimately my one and only gripe about it is how the heal takes a full spool of silk. it encourages a much more conservative gameplay, but almost to the point that I actively dislike wasting silk on skills because what if I need to heal
the only saving grace of it is that you can heal in midair lmao
Omg no, you are wrong on so many levels and as a linguist this makes me ache something terrible. In my linguistics class in undergrad, we actually made fun of people who think like you along these lines and for good reason, because you are wholly ignorant and are choosing to spin narratives about things and fields which you know completely nothing about yet pretend you do.
She: This word evolved naturally from Old English from seo/heo which were just words to refer to feminine-female people evolving from Proto-Germanic words meaning âthat/thereâ. He as a word evolved from the same ideas but Proto-Germanic words for âthis/hereâ. Your idea of âpatriarchal languageâ further falls apart when you compare this part of English to other Germanic languages, of which English is related, the words in German for he and she are âerâ and âsieâ, completely unrelated. So it is by clear happenstance, not some patriarchal conspiracy that the words âheâ and âsheâ in English have similar form.Â
Woman: Oh god this one always gets my goat when people go for this one. Man did not used to mean âmaleâ, man used to mean âhumanity/human beingâ, the old words in Old English for male adult person and female adult person were âwermanâ and âwifmanâ respectively, we can see this relation in words like werewolf and wife as being the remnants of the base âwer-â and the base âwif-â. Woman evolved phonologically from the word âwifmanâ by natural processes where the âfâ sound dropped and the âiâ became lax. Man dropped its âwerâ stem for reasons mostly unknown but I can guarantee have nothing to do with âpatriarchyâ because phonological change has no basis in that.
Female: Male and Female actually come etymologically from two completely different words. Male comes from Old French âmasleâ which meant masculine, while Female came from Old French as well âfemellaâ which meant young woman. This is another case, just like he and she, where the words coincidentally ended up looking similar without having any direct correlation in historical linguistic processes to make them as such.
Human: This word etymologically derives from Proto-Indo-European âghomonâ which means earthly being as opposed to heavenly being which would refer to gods. You have some small glimmer of hope here in that the word does eventually branch off into the word for âmanâ in some languages but this is still too small of a precedent to base any conspiratorial thinking like you are doing off of.
Person: This one offends me the most, simply because I love the fuck out of Etruscan language and your continued ignorance just irks me at this point. Person derives from âpersonaâ from Latin which meant the same meaning, which ultimately derived from âphersuâ Etruscan for âmaskâ as Etruscans would often have theatre performers use masks to give identity to the performers. So never once did âpersonâ have any meaning to do with âsonâ. So yes, this IS the ânatural orderâ or language.
Please never proselytise your faulty ideology and misandrist thinking within speaking about word origins and morphology again, as unless you actually do fact checking, I will school the everloving hell out of you, stay in your lane.
and the insult pussy is from the word pusillanimous, meaning coward, not the slang term for female genitalia, which comes from the Old German/Norse word for vulva, puse, which is also not the source of calling cats pussy, which comes from the Germanic root word for cat pĹŤs, which is also not where we get the term sourpuss from because that comes from the Irish word for lip or mouth, pus.
