I was at a trans rights protest once where we had a couple different speakers come to the mic invited up from the audience for open mic time, some of whom were youngish, and one of them literally said "unalive themselves" instead of "committed suicide" in a fully serious context, specifically while discussing the rising suicide rates among trans teens.
