I’m really pissed right now at the tadc fandom so I’m gonna just scream at a screen
regarding the whole Michale kovatch thing I don’t have a lot to say because I am very very white all I will say is it’s stupid bigoted it’s not funny and you all need to grow up. I don’t feel its necessary to cancel him as that’s not the issue people have with him as far as I can tell and I will follow their lead better then my own intuition at this point. I’m not going to defend him or shame him in this my main focus is the people then using this as a joke. Again it’s stupid and bigoted.
the main reason for this long yap is about the leak on twitter because I have strong feelings about this. My big thing with this is that WE SHOULD NOT BE LEAKING AN INDIE ANIMATION. I’m all for pirating things on Netflix and paramount they are big corporations who don’t need and deserve the money but when you then pirate an INDEPENDENT ANMITION STUDIO there is nothing supporting this action. You are actively taking away money from the hard working animators who worked hard on this show. You are taking away the platform for indie animators as a whole and it’s an asshole thing to do. The only reason I could think of that someone would pirate this episode is because of the 2-4 week time gap between the release in theaters and the release on YouTube however even this is unjustified as the whole point of it being in theaters is to show the demand of independent creators by pirating it you are telling big corporations that you don’t care about the indie animation community. When it comes to things like this it’s vital that you put your money where your mouth is to represent and create an audience for independent artists and creators. This whole movie thing was never about making money it’s about paving the way for indie creators everywhere and it’s selfish to take that audience away from them. I would also like to add that many people already bought tickets so your just ruining the experience for them. I understand not being able to afford movie tickets but it’s then that you have to wait for it to come out on YouTube. I know that’s easier said than done due to the fans who will be douchbags and spoil it but i feel like it’s an easy fix with just blocking all tadc creators INCLUDING ME (even though i don’t plan to spoil it at all) until it’s release unless you don’t care about spoilers then it’s up to you.
this whole argument cycle is dumb and I know that by posting about it I’m contributing to the problem but I feel like I haven’t heard enough people talk about this side of the story so if you could repost this so that it reaches more people I would greatly appreciate it but ofcourse you don’t have to.
