It's made with a mix of ground beef, pork, and veal, and it tastes great. The Jackalope Western Burger is served at Crosstown Pub in Naperville, Illinois. There is cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, and crispy fried onions on top of this burger, which makes it taste like the Wild West.
Ingredients: 1/2 lb ground beef. 1/4 lb ground pork. 1/4 lb ground veal. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 slices cheddar cheese. 4 hamburger buns. 1/2 cup BBQ sauce. 1/4 cup crispy fried onions. Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for garnish.
Instructions: Put the ground beef, pork, and veal in a bowl and mix them together. Add pepper and salt. Make 4 burger patties out of the meat mixture that are all the same size. Warm up your grill or pan on the stove over medium-high heat. The burger patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. Put a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking and cover to melt. You can grill or toast the hamburger buns until they are lightly browned. Put the burgers together: On the bottom bun, put lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Then, add the cooked patty with melted cheese. Put BBQ sauce on top of the patty, and then add fried onions that are nice and crispy. After you put the top bun on the burger, it's ready to be served.
