In 2020, I became really interested in astrology and wanted to dive deeper into the subject. I struggled to find accessible, clear information until I stumbled upon an astrology podcast that seemed to have tons of valuable content. The host also offered a course, which I thought would be a great way to “officially” build my knowledge. I signed up, excited to learn more.

What I didn’t realize was that the course was designed more for those who already had a solid background in astrology. I didn’t know this at the time, and when I tried to engage with the community, I quickly realized it wasn’t a welcoming space. Instead of receiving helpful feedback, I often felt mocked and dismissed for asking basic questions.

One specific moment truly crystallized the unwelcoming nature of this community. I had posted a question, including details of my personal chart, and then waited an agonizing week for my post to be approved. I was excited to finally share my thoughts and engage.

However, the moment my post went live, I immediately saw two other posts appear that seemed specifically designed to target me. These posts, asking precise questions about negative aspects in my chart, were openly critical and overtly mean-spirited. It felt less like a coincidence and more like a coordinated effort orchestrated during the approval delay, allowing them to prepare their attacks. It was crushing to realize that my genuine efforts were not only ridiculed but that my entry into the community felt weaponized against me.

There was also a girl who made fun of me openly, which was painful enough on its own. But then, it seemed like they all decided to look at my blog for a laugh. They mocked the way I worded things, picking apart my writing for amusement. It was crushing to realize that my genuine efforts were just a joke to them. I’d poured time and energy into my work, only for it to be ridiculed. It felt like a group of people were actively deciding to belittle me and my journey. That kind of behavior left me feeling completely unwelcome.

Though the course itself offered a lot of information, it also required studying ancient texts. Working with others to unpack these texts was part of the learning process. But I soon realized that many members in the community were less interested in helping newcomers and more focused on making it hard for people like me to understand. The sense of superiority and exclusivity within the group made me feel isolated.

I’ve come to understand that niche communities, especially one as specific as astrology, can attract people who are more interested in showing off their knowledge than in offering genuine support. That might work for some people, but it’s not the kind of space I want to be in. I want to be part of a community that builds people up, welcomes new voices, and creates an environment where learning and growth are celebrated.

Looking back, I regret investing so much time and money into the Hellenistic Astrology Course. Over five years of studying and writing about it felt like a waste when I was constantly dismissed and mocked by others. Instead of finding a supportive, welcoming environment, I found a group more interested in tearing others down. In essence, this experience unveiled a cliquish community characterized by a pervasive culture of gatekeeping.

Oh, right—because you’re out there living your best life with friends and social plans while I’m over here… analyzing celebrity natal charts and obsessively reading biographies. Totally normal, right? :D

OMG and 2025 is currently the year of the Wood Snake! I swear, I couldn't make up these synchronicities if I tried. According to Google AI, the Wood Snake symbolizes complexity, mystery and transformation.

👃🏻🐈Okay so the cat tail theory on cardinal moons falls in line with Libra moons. The alta (nose sides) are slightly wider with a narrower columella (tip) than Cap Moons.

🎀They have such nicely shaped perfectly balanced faces; I think air moons give smaller faces. Regina George is def a Libra Moon (Rachel McAdams appears to be a Gemini Moon but the rating is a C which isn’t great but she def has the smaller face like an air moon would have!)

🐻‍❄️Idk I’m getting pretty privilege af here//I think it’s the 2nd house ruled by Venus and the Moons placement there. Moon rules body and Libra/Venus is the planet of beauty and it’s in the place of the chart where we make money. Having certain beauty placements in the right place can help a lot— a little of luck to go with the hard work+talent. Probably have had to deal with their fair share of creeps though too— there’s always a dark side to positive placements (just like there’s a bright side to negative placements) ☯️

💂🏻‍♂️Their eyebrows all vary in thickness but are on the longer side (Cardinal moon) with squared arches, the peak of which starts at the edge of the outer iris of their eyes— thinning out to a point as they extend downward and end at the temple

🍎It’s crazy how their faces are fairly sleek but the cheekbones are still higher and prominent 👌🏻 in fact they almost pop out more because the faces are thinner/more petite

🧠They def give sophisticated, intelligent vibes being ruled by Mercury and having an air moon. Likely don’t make impulsive decisions and are fairly good at keeping logic at the forefront of their brains

👃🏻🦂 My shorter eyebrows theory for Scorpio moons seems to pan out here. Scorp Moons def have unique eyebrows— they’re more arched and slightly thicker. They almost seem to be thicker on the inner portion (closer to the nose) and almost thin out near the ends

🧊🔥There’s something soft fiery about Scorpio Moons vibe after an elongated glance (or 2), I noticed— they’re the least likely to smile bc you want them to for sure. There’s this quiet warrior within them— they’re not gonna do what you tell them to do but they’re also not gonna necessarily make a big deal out of not doing that thing bc they realize that would take its power away//very calculated and smart

👄 all have a prominent Cupid’s bow with fairly “thicker and shorter” lips//that’s kind of the vibe with Scorpio moon— it’s like potent energy but doesn’t overstay its welcome, if that makes sense, in a physical characteristic aspect

🧊I doubt any of these women have ever been accused of being overeager— I simply mean they are very contained and know their power, and how to properly use it. Less is more is probably an unconscious idiom these folks live by

🌑They lowkey have that “not really here” vibe of a Pisces Moon but it’s more stern and almost like “ask me if you dare” vibe bc I don’t really think they miss much of anything even if they are distracted or appear distracted— did they genuinely “forget” that thing or are they testing you? 🐟👵🏻Okay remember Grumpier Old Men, the second movie with that fiery red-haired woman that all the men wanted? She gives Scorpio Moon but in a very fiery container, like Sag rising or a chart ruler in a fire stellium but I’m getting that kind of power with these ladies

🦎Idk why I get like reptilian vibes from their eyes and gaze, like the dinosaurs in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Maybe because Sag is fire so it’s hot and they live in this arid desert that is their heart? Lol idk why but I feel like these women are especially savage bc Virgo can be so nit-picky and lowkey mean, while Sagg outright dgaf so yeah idk. Obviously it won’t play out this way for everyone but that one girl you know from high school who was relentless and cold probably has this combo lmao

🩰Their inner face is very perky with the uptipped nose and the cheeks bulging out more in the frontal mid-facial area, tapering off nicely at the corner of their eyes

💄They all seem to have a less prominent/softer Cupids bow and only slightly thicker lower lip that extend outward moreso and kind of tie in with the oval face-/ like an oval if you flip it on its side

🔃They do seem to have slightly longer faces as well, I think Virgo contains the typical expansiveness of Jupiter here— or maybe it’s the square that impedes it since both Virgo/Sagg are mutable and not sister signs and thus squares to one another.

💎They have small longer faces but the forehead and chin are more narrow giving them definition in the shape of a diamond— I feel like all Virgos have smaller faces in general

🐝I’m getting extremes with them-/ like when you’re good with them, you’re really good. But when it’s bad, it’s really bad— maybe I’m just projecting my own experience with Sagg moons (and the square I shared with them via my Moon)

Virgo Rising/Aquarius Moon

👃🏻Prominent and wider alta ( ) that setup a display for the defined and chiseled columella. Being a fixed moon, there does seem to be a pattern with the nose— it actually has the appearance of a three-leaved clover ☘️ if the middle “leaf” of the trio were thin and came to a point at front and the outer “leaf”s in the trio were the alta+slightly visible nostrils

🍯Eyebrows hang a bit lower and tend to be slightly shorter and on the thinner side

👁️Something electrifying and attention-grabbing about their gaze here//must be that Uranus ⚡️influence

🍰Def the type to pull off shorter hairstyles and bangs probably— more masculine type cuts probably look really good on them. Being that Aqua is an air sign and thus is masculine but being in the moon offsets it especially as a female with a feminine rising sign as well (Virgo=earth=feminine). I’m thinking of that one cut where it’s shoulder length on one side and the other side is buzzed like a military cut kind of. There’s a YouTuber with it, she’s a spiritual channel I can’t remember her name!

Virgo Rising/Pisces Moon

🔪🩸 first of all, half of these women play brutal villains which is interesting with Pisces moon, as it seems to be such a wholesome and sweet placement but being ruled by Neptune means the delulu can sneak in and the perfect match of that + a certain mindset could result in misguided loyalty and obsession to the wrong things. I feel like Pisces Moons are such the sweet and sour patch kids of the zodiac.

🦇🤡Heath Ledger was a Pisces Moon and played arguably the best Joker in cinema history

🌊🌊But like they play it so well in that the root of that anger/passion is deep-seated emotion— typical of a water moon, esp pisces— making them excellent actors. Traditionally ruled by Jupiter, brings out a bit of excess of emotion in Pisces moon— similar to what you’d expect to see from personal Cancer placements. Water moons aren’t afraid either, the type to just dive in and swim in the darkness. Do not mistake these folks as meek

He passed when he was 21, during a tenth house profection year. It literally just started too with his birthday being six days prior.

I was getting the vibe his tenth house is actually ruled by Aries and he has Saturn (retrograde) there

That would make him a Cancer Rising with a night chart and this Saturn being his worst planet which would make sense having it recently activated as the tenth house profection year ruler.

I think he has Moon in the eleventh with his music.

I’ve literally been obsessed with his music the last week or so. I love all the songs. This doesn’t happen often for me with artists. I have always adored Taurus Moons and this would align with my fifth house of music since it would be opposing my 5th house Pluto(and conjunct my 11th house Mars). Since this is a fixed sign axis, this is a pattern that has remained fixed like I always find that when artists align on this axis (so either Scorpio or Taurus placements), that I will probably be super into all their music

It also got me thinking about how he must have been someone with strong words because you hear lyrics about “not making it past 21” and other spot-on stuff that ended up happening and you’re like 😳😳 especially the codeine stuff though, idk just wild.

Anyways I was thinking Moon here in the planet of community and opposing music because his lyrics are very like feelings-based and strong in expressing them/naming them. Strong emotions and vulnerability in his music, coupled with the perfect beat. It’s beautiful, I love it.

With tenth house ruled by Aries, we look to Mars in Libra for more information. However since Mars isn’t in its domicile, we look to Venus which is in a Sagittarius stellium. Still not in its home so we look to Jupiter where it sits in Pisces (finally at its domicile). But under like 3 layers his tenth house of career/reputation is tied to Pisces. Which makes so much sense with all their d r g references. And his music also has this very like flowing fish type vibe to it. Like the album cover up top, just this bright rainbow fish sailing amongst varying waves via rainbow road or something.

Pisces mixed with the Sagittarius it makes sense he speaks so much of excess in his music with both being ruled by Jupiter

If he had a tenth house Aries, that means he would have a ninth house Pisces— I’m thinking his MC would fall near Jupiter at 18 degrees because he was famous SO young (& also passed so young :()

But also with Moon, the signifier for bodily matters, exalted in Taurus— being in Venus which is under the beams, I wonder if this was enough of a maltreatment to cause his premature death?

I was just looking for signs of any overt signs of maltreatment via opposition/square from the malefics but am not seeing one… probably cause they are opposing each other 😆 I could be wrong about cancer rising

His rising could also either be an Aries/Scorpio or Capricorn/Aquarius due to that malefic opposition. Ie having his chart ruler opposed by malefic. Obviously this would change sect depending on which sign it is. But that’s a possibility given we know he passed very young yet achieved this massive level of fame and even has had albums released after his death.

I think that the Leo degree on his Saturn could have something to do with this fame after death, given Saturns nature of longstanding-ness

Alright so to close the loop on my Scorpio/Cardinal moons debacle— when a Scorpio holds its tail up in the air, it’s not long enough to wrap around and have a remainder of tail left that flips up like a cat does. So Cardinal moons are the tip of the cat tail that flips up when their tail is at rest hence the more prominent nose tip, and Scorpio moons are like the hanging tail that isn’t long enough to wrap around and have a tip so its shorter in length. This also kind of plays into the features—cardinal/Capricorn moons with longer tails/eyebrows+longer nose tip 🐈 and then scorp moons with their shorter but thicker features+shorter nose tip. 📝 class is over now (via Gemini rising/scorpio moon — pt. 2 of mercurial-ruled risings)

💀🏴‍☠️ but also their eyes are just very dark, almost like what I’d expect from a Scorpio Moon. This rising+moon combo is probably actually the scariest? Gives Scorpio energy/Pluto energy vibes— so wild how energy actually plays out— it’s just the eyes bro 😱 😵

🤫With the mercurial influence, it’s extra intimidating bc you know they’re smarter than you and someone dark+smart is terrrifying. I’m thinking of the serial killer villain in Hush— 🎬about a deaf woman who lives in the remote woods and is targeted by a murderer whose choice of weapon is a bow+arrow— and showcases his count— whom shows up to steal+savor a seemingly fish in the barrel type scenario only to be showed up and outdone by a woman who was at a few disadvantages from the start. A battle won after a long and difficult journey— she makes it out alive and the cat is unharmed. 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 🐈 An ending I wish I’d see more of. These women are def fighters. Probably not one to instigate it but definitely one to finish it, if you dare to test them.

🪩I feel like their eyes and lips are larger with nicely shaped noses to embody a face that very much resembles classical beauty standards. Their faces seem to be naturally wider at the top (showcasing the eyes) and sort of narrow out at the chin— their perfectly rounded chin, not too long or short

🪭 I love their eyebrows— the medium side of thinner and arch perfectly at the pupil and end only where the “crinkle” ends— not like an actual crinkle but just like 2-3 mm? past where their eyes end. It frames their haunting eyes priming them to trap you in. Let’s be honest, you want to get trapped ;)

🎃💀Simply side note and no shade at all toward this gorgeous and talented woman— but the Janet Gaynor pic, I almost didn’t grab it bc it spooked me out. Something about it is haunted, no? It’s really giving Mars opposite/square Pluto vibes with the dark eyes and hauntingly black background. 🐙 It reminds me of that Bojack episode where he opens the door and the nothingness oozes in threatening tentacles ready to snag his ankle and pull him in with the slight hook of its wrist— pulling him into utter nothingness forever. Mr. Pink: Page of Pentacles (R), 4 of Pentacles and Queen of Swords (R). He cares about money and only money. Himself and only himself. He’s cheap and refuses to tip, despite making a valid point— it’s utterly insensitive toward waitresses worldwide and they are the ones that suffer so until the world changes, just cough up the $1 you cheap bastard. He entirely lacks compassion and empathy but he’s not without reason. Nonetheless, he is the only one who gets away alive and with the loot— demonstrating that lack of compassion and ruthless pragmatism pays off. He’s a smart little weasel who just hides until the chaos subsides. He’s adamant about not sharing his real name with anyone and chastises Mr. White for doing so to an actual dying man. He actually tries to get Mr. White to abandon post with him and take off with the loot but being the man with integrity that Mr. White is, he sticks to the original plan and does not abandon his team. Mr. Pink does have emotion unlike Mr. Blonde but it’s entirely selfishly motivated— he only wants to get away with his money so he can not tip.

Mr. White: King of Cups + Knight of Pentacles + 7 of Wands. This guy is a senior criminal— he’s stable, he’s been around the block, he can be cool but if you shoot him in a dream, you better apologize. At initial glance, he might come off a bit harsh and dry but underneath it all, he’s a big softie. Hes really the only one that shows any compassion toward Mr. Orange after he gets shot, and he arguably died defending him. Despite that hidden softness is a solid pragmatism in which he runs upon. He knows he can’t bring Mr. Orange to the hospital without endangering himself and everyone else involved but goes out of his way to comfort the poor guy, even combing his hair for him while he holds him. 🥹 He should have dropped the poor guy off at a hospital but it’s a movie so. The pragmatism took over. I think his soft spot for Mr. Orange is due to his junior status as a career criminal— he sees the capability in him and wants to help guide him, take him under his wing so to speak— protect him. He’s such a freaking sweetheart. I mean, unless you’re a cop but it seems as if to be a career criminal in the 90s, you have to have an unbridled rage + hostility toward law enforcement. He really is a guy you want on your side and is very well-rounded. Even the weasel Mr. Pink trusts him enough to tell him he got away with the diamonds— he has everyone’s respect.

Mr. Blonde: Magician (R), 7 of Swords, King of Swords (R). Socipaaaath. He takes the cop hostage solely to torture the poor guy and to get brownie points with his team of career criminals. Upon his first meeting with Joe + Eddie after getting out of prison, they offer him a legit job that pays well in which he will never have to even actually work and he’s itching to “get out and do some real work”. This speaks a lot to his motivation— it’s not solely money like it is with Mr. Pink. I think the man genuinely enjoys chaos, violence and inflicting pain. He’s quite savvy and gets away— probably due to the fact he is a sociopath lacks emotion. He is actually kind of good at manipulating others with this bc he seems to be quite emotionally intelligent— he just doesn’t care about others unless they will serve him a purpose in the future. (Fun fact: Michael Madsen almost didn’t accept the role bc he didn’t want to be killed by Tim Roth.)

Mr. Orange: Judgement (R), Page of Swords, 9 of Pentacles. He’s an undercover cop. He is very intelligent and flexible with the unexpected. He maintains his cover until the bitter end before coming clean to Mr. White, whom dies shortly after. Other than that, he is actually successful in never getting discovered. The acting capacity of Tim Roth though to differentiate that guilt + emotional pain from betraying this man who had his back, from the nearly constant physical pain experienced for 2/3rds of the movie is impressive. He puts effort and is successful in nailing his cover story to make it seem as natural as possible, fooling these seasoned criminals.

Nice Guy Eddie: King of Wands, 3 of Pentacles, 5 of Wands. Def more fiery than his airy, seemingly detached from emotion father but still maintains a level head during chaos. Sure, he gets a little excited and worked up but his mind remains clear. Hes not for senseless violence either, pointing out torturing the cop will elicit nothing, likely not even truth. Still young though and not immune to goofing off and play fighting but knows when to be serious. He loves his dad and doesn’t hesitate for a minute to protect him in the final Mr. White-Nice Guy Eddie-Joe triad standoff. He seems to be quite competent as the mid-manager of his father’s criminal organization— he takes it seriously and doesn’t slack off just bc his dad is the boss.

Joe Cabot: Emperor, King of Swords, 10 of Pentacles. I know it seems like the cheap, easy characterization of the overt leader but he really encompasses the unbiased, fair and decisiveness of these potent cards. He’s very charismatic and stern— making his acceptance of you that much more meaningful. He definitely lacks the watery/nurturing energy that Mr. White possesses but that is likely how he has been so successful and remained successful. Emotional entanglements only seem to harm the bottom line and complicate things— something Mr. Pink fully understands and something Mr. Blue never had to worry about. Yes, he is very loyal and is a great man to have on your side— someone’s respect you want to earn + keep— but don’t come to him looking for a shoulder to cry on and don’t you dare betray him. His illicit business is a well-run machine and he has reached financial fulfillment— and likely emotional fulfillment due to the respect he has from those who work for him and with him. Elk energy.
