⛺ What begins as a familiar walk becomes a peaceful journey of quiet companionship and playful moments. Rummie’s Long Walk Home is a gentle light fantasy that follows a young girl as she wanders into a forest inhabited by small, watchful spirits. Fear never fully takes hold; curiosity guides her from one encounter to the next.

Born from a bed of petals, a newly awakened flower-being explores the vast forest around them. Experiencing the world in fragments, the character’s first moments are spent without words or guidance—simply reaching upward and learning through observation.

When the final bell rings, class is definitely dismissed. The After Hours Teachers Only Club is a naughty, adults-only fantasy about what happens when overworked teachers form their own private escape to fill their planless weekends and dry pockets.

By night, the members-only club becomes lively and booming—a sharp contrast to the order of daytime life. Authority gives way to indulgence as these teachers escape routine and surrender to explicit fantasy and raw release.

For the pass few days I have been working on coming up with ways for people to help fund me and also get something out of it!

What inspired the story or themes behind the novel you’re currently working on, and how has your creative vision evolved as you’ve continued writing it?

As an indie artist and animator, what has been the most valuable lesson you’ve learned so far about sustaining your creative work while managing funding and long-term goals?

Looking ahead, what kind of projects or stories are you most excited to bring to life for your audience?

Whenever I watch anime, I always end up thinking, “I wish this show had more filler” or “I wish this could just be a background-noise comfort show.” I never want it to end. I just want more time with the characters.

I really love watching characters grow and just… live. The characters I care about the most? I love seeing them do the simple things—talking, resting, existing between all the big moments. I enjoy action and big journeys, but sometimes I just want the quiet, everyday stuff.

That’s honestly why I love One Piece so much. You get the huge adventures and battles, but you also get to see what the crew is like on a normal day. That balance really means a lot to me.

So I thought—why not write something like that in my favorite genres? I wanted it to exist, so I made my own.

While figuring all of this out, I keep learning the same lesson over and over again: nothing happens overnight. Not finishing a story, not completing a script, not gaining funding or support. It’s all slow.

Most nights I’m checking messages, figuring out what to post next, and deciding what project I should work on. Having a plan and a schedule helps so much—it keeps me from feeling overwhelmed when I have multiple projects going at once.

There are a lot of projects in the works, and I’m okay admitting that I’m most excited about the ones that get the most support, because I love overcoming my social anxiety and talking to people who could become long-term fans.

I wanted to talk a little more about the “light novel” I’m working on (even though I’m not 100% sure if that’s the right word for it yet).

This story actually started as an anime/animation idea. But since I’m still learning my style and trying to figure out funding, I didn’t want the idea to just sit around unused. I also really want to start building some kind of fanbase around my animation projects, even if they aren’t animated yet.

So I thought—what if I turned the first few episodes into writing instead? That way people could read the story first and get a feel for the world and characters. That idea is what turned into this working light novel.

My plan is to do this for my bigger animation projects too. Kind of like a teaser: if you enjoy reading the story, hopefully you’d enjoy seeing it animated one day.

Right now, I’m still very much in the stage of putting myself out there, trying to find supporters, and figuring out funding. It’s a little scary and definitely out of my comfort zone, but I’m hoping all this work leads somewhere. Thanks to anyone who’s taken the time to read, support, or even just show interest in this page—it really means a lot.

My name is Stella Stacey. I recently came across your work and found it engaging. I would be glad to connect and learn more about your experience. How is your writing journey going over there?

Right now, I’m learning what it truly means to be an indie artist. I’m exploring different ideas for how I could fund my personal projects while continuing to grow and learn as an animator. I’m also working toward going back to school, which has helped me understand why saving and funding are so important.

I have so many ideas and projects I want to work on, but at the same time, I’m trying to put myself out there and build a supportive community. I struggle with social anxiety, so pushing myself to do things that feel uncomfortable—just so I can pursue what I love—can be a real challenge.

Still, I’m starting to see the value in late nights and stepping outside my comfort zone. One day, I hope to have supporters who genuinely love my stories and short films. For now, though, my main goals are securing funding and finishing a novel that I don’t hate (at least for the moment).
