one of the tweets of all time to me

free use is kind of a funny kink bc it relies on the idea that everybody wants to touch you and have sex with you but what if they don't. what if you tell everybody at the party you're free use but they all ignore you and mind their own business

Drift stitching is a repair method where zip ties, wires, or clips are used to hold cracked parts together after an accident.
The technique became popular in drifting and motorsports because damaged bumpers could be repaired quickly without replacing the entire panel. Small holes are drilled along the crack so the material can be stitched back together and reinforced.
Over time, the repair style spread beyond racing and became common in DIY car culture. People have also used this method on motorcycles and anything in need of a temporary fix that doesnβt immediately hurt the wallet.
Some people use drift stitching purely for function, while others leave the stitching visible as part of the aesthetic.

a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.
this is the second case ive seen of a black child going missing and then found lynched, what the fuck is going on

pick up that non-fiction book
not all of us can live in fantasy 100% the time like i see some people on here do and it's refreshing to learn something new. its been philosophy, essays, and history for me and i feel much more at home on planet Earth for it knowing that people have been struggling and wishing similarly for millenia.
its not that fiction doesnt have its place, its important and healthy to exercise the imagination, but non-fiction can do so much to boost and supplement that. if not for yourself, for your art or for the people you're around
"representation matters!" but you wont read or engage with non-fiction works about any demographic outside your own
this version of the post doesnt seem to be getting much traction but this is arguably the most important reason why we should be reading nonfiction in addition to fiction

I miss when ads were a single click and then theyβre gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesnβt even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.
I hate advertising. I hate that you canβt do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that thereβs nothing I can do about it.
Now that everyone is discussing Nolan's Odyssey movie, I feel like it's a good time to let non-Italians know that the production dumped plastic props into the Italian sea. Weirdly enough I could not find any article in English about it but it's a fucking problem nonetheless.
I might translate this article later today. This one was the most complete one, even in Italian news it's not talked about that much.

They dumped plastic skeletons in environmentally protected areas, against the literal contracts they had to sign to get the permits to film in environmentally protected areas. Like they not only did a bad ecological thing that freaked out some divers, they literally broke environmental protection laws and their contract with the Italian government
They also filmed in illegally occupied territories in western sahara

i hate yaoi. what's worse than one man? two men!!!
Something about the bastardization of the story time and time again proves that nobody in power really cares about the people who would resonate with Kingβs Carrie White. A girl so ugly and repulsive sheβs been removed from her own story. The societal need for women and girls to be constantly perceived as attractive is what fuels a fair amount of her torment in the book, but that person isnβt even allowed to exist on the screen. We cannot empathize with her; it isnβt allowed. Itβs fascinating to me.
