Any TVL cast member being interviewed: yeah so when I first read the script I wanted to murder Rolin with my bare hands :) haha yeah he butchered my character so badly that I threw my laptop across the room :) aha and then I yelled at him for two hours which only resulted in minor tweaks to the script :) yeah I was so shocked and confused :) and he comes up with scenes that don’t make any sense in-universe. :) and I worry for the future of this tv show :) but it’s alright as long as you think about how [5 min in depth analysis of details that the cast member has come up themselves to justify the season despite these justifications not being evident in the actual show at all] aha :)

all the rights that come with marriage you should be able to have without marriage btw. you should be able to designate a person who can visit you in the hospital regardless of your relationship to that person.

ALSO i fear that the writers are going to see the backlash for this season and then if there's a s4 retcon it all and be like "you should have trusted us :) this was the plan all along :)"

like the devils minion stuff and fan reaction being so weirdly positive fully feels like the moment the show knows it can truly just give up on itself and sell purely the idea of scenes rather than reality and all people want are a series of lists confirming or denying their stupid theories it was such a weird distillation of everything in the damn season like daniels insane string of racist and homophobic remarks played as a coy joke mixed with dialogue that feels dragged straight from a twitter joke compilation post when season 2 was airing all just to tell not show some dumbass twist that had zero build up to just look at the camera and say hello devils minion super fans i know you read that chapter even if u read nothing else in the entire book series look u get baffling collection of list of things that happened in the devils minion chapter that makes zero sense with their current iteration such as turning on a private jet why our daniel would get on a private jet with the vampire hes actively terrified of has no good memories of and assumes wants to kill him for blowing up his life is a question we might never answer arent you happy about that and that all this is purely just standing there telling u all these massive important radical shifts in their relationship that we are not seeing and frankly since people seem to work themselves into a froth over just getting told about why on earth would they ever need to show this and even if its shown we now see the new state of flashbacks on the show being short disjointed and pointless its like such a perfect distilled nugget of this deranged twitter forward miserable unpleasant writing style they have wholeheartedly embraced this season of bad jokes meant to be said by someone with the username uwuprincessminion and a pink heart filter lestat icon or whatever than professional tv writers the way they entirely discount two seasons of work on loumand for an off screen nothing relationship for fan approval that they are now just being racist for fun i guess and that armand is reduced to nothing but ship fodder for daniel and its simply so fucking insane!

the decision of the writers of tvl to not clarify lestat's role in the trial, why he was there, how exactly and to what extent he was coerced, to never address it, to never have lestat explain himself to louis, but to treat it as though lestat is obviously innocent and has nothing to explain.........................................................profound

It’s not that I completely dislike Louis storyline with Regina this season, it is thematically linked to their dynamic in previous seasons and cohesive with Louis character arc. But you can’t insert something like that only playing with the shock value of “louis uses his money to make a girl roleplay as his dead daughter” without having solid and emotionally deep scenes with those two and I feel like this season as a whole lacked that. Most plot points stop at a superficial “shock value” aspect and nothing feels constructed or earned you know what I mean. And this superficial approach lead to stuff that is tone deaf at best
