I have no idea</3
I have not been in the the threads since last year ╮( ̄ω ̄;)╭
In my experience tho it takes threadshitters and people staying on topic for a thread ecosystem to stay alive...like a garden...random but this line of thinking reminded me of Don't Shitpost I'm Scared ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞclassic...
I have not had as much time for teh Chanz in general lately, I am working on a project releasing relatively soon and as I mentioned in the post I deleted when my new policy went into effect, I moved earlier this year
Because of that, my expenses went up--I live alone, I do not have a spouse or a romantic partner or even family so I am all by myself trying to do my best to keep myself afloat in these hard economic times...gas is like...over $4 now... (。•́︿•̀。) with everything going on in the world, it's kinda scary...the busier I am, the less scared I can feel
So due to all that, my attention has had to go towards these projects that I hope to pull a profit from and of course there are expenses related to that, too...wahh... (╯︵╰,)
Which is why when I said before, to an anon I will not publish, I am not responsible for *that*, I meant it!
And some other anon the other week told me I should open an OF and he would buy but I want to make it clear I am NEVER going to do that! ヽ(`⌒´メ)ノ I want to feel good about earning money

EDIT: This took a few extra days to finish answering, oops.
How much one enjoys TADC as a whole depends on what they wanted from the series, but without a doubt a precedent was set with the pilot that it would be, in part, a mystery show.
What is the Digital Circus? Is there an escape? Where is the computer running this programming? Who is leaving it powered on with a headset on the desk, looking to imprison the unsuspecting? What is C&A? What is abstraction, really?
For those who only cared about the interpersonal character drama, especially for those invested in Jax, they were no doubt satisfied with the finale.
For those who were invested in the mystery aspects of the show and getting answers to the questions that had been set up, they were no doubt disappointed.
I understand that for Goose, this project was a personal therapy piece. It is okay to make therapy pieces, of course, and to some extent all creatives do this even if on a subconscious level.
However, I think a creator also has a responsibility to not mislead the audience in terms of what kind of show they will be watching.
Theorycrafting has become a cottage economy that benefits the crafters on Youtube and the showrunners, for better and for worse, and I theorize (pun intended) that's why once the decision was made to steer TADC in the direction of a character focused therapy piece rather than a mystery--whenever that decision was made, we can't know--Goose didn't want to dampen the theorists who were analyzing every frame.
To be clear, I believe that a series can have a deep mystery element and a heavy character focus at once, but it requires careful planning in advance. From my understanding there wasn't a clear roadmap after the pilot. This is a disadvantage of taking a purely pantsing approach to your work.
I was never into TADC on a personal level, but I did decide to study it as an exercise and try my own hand at figuring it out before the finale leak--for fun and to come away having learned something.
There is a benefit to studying a series that's extremely popular without having any investment in what happens. You have the ability to see what the audience may not.
I came to a certain conclusion that, while I was wrong, the hints were there along the way. I was surprised that nobody else had ever come up with this theory, especially after Episode 8, but I think it was because the character this theory centered around is so beloved in the fandom. They didn't want to think this character was capable of such a thing.
So what was this theory of mine? I don't want to put it all out on the table because I have stored the general idea in my back pocket and I may use it later, sorry.
So overall, what do I think of TADC?
I do not feel strongly one way or the other, as someone who only saw it from the sidelines, but I understand the disappointment with the finale and the frustration. I also understand that plenty of people never cared about the mystery in the first place and were only tuning in to watch their favorite character(s) and they had no issue with the finale.
Both these perspectives are valid, again, it's all about what you personally wanted from the series.
These days, when it comes to an ongoing series, I do tend to veer on the side of caution with my enthusiasm and I think a lot of people could benefit from doing the same.
It's exceedingly difficult to stick a landing, no matter what sort of project you're creating, and I have found myself more times disappointed than satisfied when it comes to the series I have been invested in.
But I'm coming from the perspective of a writer and my own rigorous standards, which admittedly, are kinda insane.
