Please be critical of what videos you see now. Even cute animal ones. Does the animal move kind of weirdly? Is the fur a little too smooth looking? Do all of the non dog animals make actions eerily similar to how a dog would do a trick, because that's what AI has the most visual training on replicating? Its movements a bit too quick and perfectly timed? Watch out. They're infecting collections of animal videos everywhere.
It is legitimately sickening.
An example of what kind of a thing you need to look out for. This is not how a possum plays dead. This is how a DOG plays dead to make you laugh and get a treat. Because when you tell an AI to have it play dead its got thousands of dog trick videos to reference and very few possum ones in contrast. So its going to look like a dog. When a possum plays dead it actually looks.. yknow. Dead. It goes utterly limp and most of the time in my experience their mouth is open somewhat. They go utterly still, don't move at all. Even if you pick em up and nudge em around a bit they’ll usually be stiff as a board. There's videos you can find of people interacting with real possums when they’re playing dead and its incredibly different from the dog drop and roll we see here. It also almost immediately stops playing dead to wander away. Something a real possum most certainly wouldn't do. AI slop thrives off using these lower quality cam video styles to trick you. I've seen countless 'Security camera' footage of AI bullshit now and its got its tells but if you're not looking you can easily be deceived. Watch out. Do your part. Call it out. Make them ashamed. Pollution on the internet like this shouldnt be tolerated. Especially when its actively trying to lie to you. None of these have ever been labelled as AI because they're actively trying to sneak into your life.
Hey if you get one of these it's a scam. Tumblr is not going to give you security alerts via a mention on a post.

It’s the lady of the house and her follower, the Set Animal begging for food!
“Musk talks about Mars as a lifeboat for humanity, which is among the very stupidest things that someone could say,” says Adam Becker, an astrophysicist and author of the book More Everything Forever, which outlines the messianic, sci-fi fantasies of the tech oligarchs. “There are so many reasons why it’s such a bad idea, and this is not about, ‘Oh, we’ll never have the technology to live on Mars.’ That’s not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is that Earth is always going to be a better option no matter what happens to Earth. Like, we could get hit with an asteroid the size of the one that killed off the dinosaurs, and Earth would still be more habitable. We could explode every single nuclear weapon, and Earth would still be more habitable. We could have the worst-case scenario for climate change, and Earth would still be more habitable. Any cursory examination of any of the facts about Mars makes it very clear.”
What You’ve Suspected Is True: Billionaires Are Not Like Us
I really like sci-fi stories where people have to go off and terraform a planet, or figure out how to rebuild civilization after some disaster, or ideally both. "The last ark-ship leaving Earth right before it becomes uninhabitable" sort of deal. But lately I've been coming around to this same idea, that it will always be more practical to try to save Earth than to try to start over elsewhere.
I was reading one story where the apocalypse was impossibly-rising oceans. Like, water is appearing from *waves hand* the Earth's crust or something, and literally all dry surface land on Earth is going to become underwater in X years. Part of the story was about a giant research project to invent FTL to send a few hundred humans to a nearby star which might have a habitable planet. You know what they were hoping to find? A planet with liquid water. Their plan was to descend from their starship and restart civilization using just the tools they brought with them, on a world with no life and no breathable air and the wrong gravity and the wrong temperate and the wrong sunlight and the wrong day-night cycle, just because it had liquid water. You know where else has liquid water? The flooded Earth you just abandoned. Instead of researching starship technology, you could have spent that time loading up all the same civilization-restarter tools into boats.
And this is really true of any futuristic apocalypse scenario. If you can terraform Mars to have a thick oxygen atmosphere, why not just do that to Earth? Even if you smash an ice comet into Earth and destroy basically everything, Earth will still be more habitable than Mars! It'll still have roughly the right atmospheric pressure, and magnetic field, and heat balance, and it'll still have whatever life the comet didn't kill... Same with a starshade to cool Venus. Same with excavating asteroids into city-stations. Same with abandoning Sol System entirely and heading to another star. If an ark-ship arrived in a new star system and found Earth-but-choked-by-climate-change, the crew would be ecstatic. They would never have thought to get that lucky. So why bother with the trip? Just stay and fix the damn Earth.
i don’t know who needs to hear this but transmascs do not have male privilege.
no, transmascs are not “less oppressed” than transfems. we do not “benefit from misogyny” or “benefit from the patriarchy”. we are not inherently misogynistic and we are not the only queer people that need to unlearn the misogyny that everyone grows up surrounded by.
if you sit there and say that transmascs don’t experience oppression or “as much” oppression, that we need to shut up and sit down and not share our personal experiences with misogyny and transphobia, that we don’t deserve for our voices to be heard, or that we deserve to die, you are not an ally. you are transphobic, full stop.
the only possible way for a transmasc to actually have male privilege, the same male privilege that only cisgender men are capable of having, is if he socially, legally and medically transitions very early on, cuts contact with everyone that knew him as a ‘woman’, and lives as stealth 100% of the time for the rest of his life. as soon as you come out to someone as a transmasc, even if you’re transitioned, even if you pass, they immediately stop viewing you as a man. suddenly you’re no longer a man, but a confused woman, a woman who must have transitioned because you didn’t want to deal with misogyny, or because you’re traumatized, or because you’re led astray, or because you weren’t loved as a kid, why don’t you just be a tomboy, you’re just a butch, etc etc.
and god forbid you’re a transmasc that doesn’t fit into stereotypical views of masculinity; “you’re faking it, you want attention, you poor thing, what’s the point of being trans if you’re still gonna xyz”. god forbid you’re a transmasc talking about your personal experiences with misogyny, because everyone knows that men don’t experience that! you’re a man so you’re the exact same as cis men!!/sar
i’ve even seen popular memes/videos circulating that mock young (usually preteen/teen) transmascs specifically. you know the whole “arson/bug/kai, he/they” shit? yeah, that.
saying that transandrophobia isn’t real and that transmascs don’t experience the same hate or oppression as transfems or that we don’t have it “as bad” is a disgustingly ignorant thing to say.
what about all the trans men that are unable to come out or transition due to being stuck in transphobic households? what about the trans men that can’t accept that they’re trans men because they’ve been taught that men are inherently evil? what about the trans men that are no longer viewed as friends to their female friends, but as a threat? what about the trans men that are abused or mistreated due to not fitting into/not wanting to fit into the idea of femininity? what about the countless trans men that accomplished great things (Dr. Alan Heart comes to mind) but are repeatedly deadnamed and misgendered because they were “discovered” to be “women” after they died, despite only living and presenting as male? what about the trans men that are raped or assaulted as a “correction”? what about the trans men that are murdered? what about the trans men that commit suicide?
this is not to say that transmascs have it worse, or that transfems pain and oppression is somehow lesser to ours, but that it is disgustingly ignorant to claim that we don’t experience transphobia, misogyny, abuse or oppression for the simple fact that we’re men/masculine. we should not be comparing out traumas or oppression and saying that some of us “have it worse” or “have it better”. all trans people unfortunately experience transphobia, misogyny, and abuse, and saying that our experiences aren’t important or valid or real is transphobic. if you do not support all transgender people, you are transphobic. full stop. and that trans men/mascs are still just as sacred, valuable and needed in our community.
[transandrophobes, anti-lgbtq+, terfs DNI. i will block you on sight, i am not going to argue with anyone about this. i will block anyone that tries.]

People who have never watched Helluva Boss, caption this frame
Rocky's ptsd makes him stupid as hell, but no worries, Adrian would still listen and console to the best of their abilities
hey don't cry. on december 3, 1926, agatha christie went missing for eleven days and because the uk police didn't know what to do they recruited sir arthur conan doyle, creator of master detective sherlock holmes, but all he did was conduct a séance to try and contact her distressed spirit
“Haha remember when murder-hornets were gonna be a thing? What a nothingburger.”
Yes, because the Washington state government activated like a sleeper-cell and ruthlessly, systematically hunted them down and annihilated them.
“Y2K came to nothing amirite?”
Yes because an army of software engineers working around the clock, losing sleep, and busting ass till the last minute prevented it from happening.
“Remember the hole in the ozone layer?”
You mean the one that was fixed through rigorous world wide government action?
One of the root problems of our society is a refusal or inability by media to articulate that all those “it’s gonna be an apocalypse” disasters were not disasters because we collectively did something about them.
The good news is this is actually quite correctable. I maintain my firm belief that we as humans are capable of solving almost all of our problems, when we decide to do so.
And I still think that’s going to happen. I don’t know when or how, but I do know that abandoning hope won’t help bring it about.
And I refuse to let the cynics own a chunk of my heart.
so the childhood yearning to live in a fantasy world just never goes away huh

Honestly man I kind of love telling able people I used to be a support worker. The response is always ableist but sometimes it's in a surreal and fascinating way.
Once I had someone do the whole "that seems so hard, you must be so patient" standard routine. I ask her, "why's that?" You know, why do I need to be some kind of virtuous martyr to watch 90s cartoons with other disabled people for $30 an hour?
And she says to me, with full seriousness and a look of utter dread on her face,
"All the biting."
OK mate. What do you mean. What biting. What are you on about.
"The biting," she repeats, as if it's obvious and I ought to intuitively know what she means. Then she kind of snaps her teeth to demonstrate. "You know?"
No I don't know. What do you mean biting.
"They bite," she says. Eyes wide, dead serious. "The, um, the Slow People. They bite."
Melany, I says to her I says, they're not damn draculas.
