My favorite trilogy in the series is definitely still the third one. The cringe of going back to school, the prison break, larten being a whiny loser, I like to see all the characters be forced into the real world. Plus we finally get introduced to Vancha !!
True Lartenhead through and through but I feel like that's a universal experience. Other than him, it's gotta be Evanna or Vanez
I'm not sure I have a least favourite, there's characters I despise and find irritating but they're written to evoke those feelings and it's done so well. I think out of everyone I found Arrow the most boring, which is a far bigger crime than being evil I think.
Lake of Souls!!! I remember the interview Darren did where he talked about the book series originally being 24 books with 12 in the lake of Souls setting. I asked him about it when I met him the second time and the ideas for it were really cool. It's such a weird and surreal place and I felt like for all the time we spend at the mountain, spending only one book in the future with giant monsters and a lake with your dead friends is insane.
I'd love a live action. But I've imagined one in my mind so hard nothing could ever live up to it.
