Victory is mine! This quilt has been sitting on one side for 10+ years needing only the binding to be fully finished. Today, it's finally done and I'm super pleased about it. It's my first quilt, so it's messy and there's lots of mistakes (what is sewing in a straight line??) but eh. My cats don't care and they'll be the ones sleeping on it, so whatever. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be done, and it is. Finally.

In the end, I think it might be enough for a hat but there was a lot of wastage so who knows. 🤷‍♀️

Plans~. This will, in theory, be an hourglass quilt. We'll see if I keep on track with it.

Finished an embroidery kit I got. Just need to wash it to erase the outlines before finishing it properly.

The magic of steeking. 😁 All that needs doing now is adding the buttons and stabilising the inside where I cut it, which I have twill tape for. So it's basically done, right? 🤣

The body is done! I did the neckline afterwards while I had my smaller needles out but for some reason my brain could not handle picking up stitches for button bands, so I've moved onto the sleeves. Hopefully, by the time those are done, my brain will have regained the ability to can in terms of picking up stitches, because then the button bands are the only thing left before steeking.

Never fails. 🙄

My socks of 2023. Not the most I've ever done in a year, but it's also better than some years where I did maybe one or two. I worked with a surprising number of sparkly yarn this year, didn't see that coming. Idk if that will continue because I have... a not insignificant number of West Yorkshire Spinners self striping yarn to work with that might take over in 2024.
