ragatha

unlike all the other ones, this one had 0 comedic relief.

i'd like to think that the beginning scene reveals jax still caring for ragatha. although he and ragatha had multiple disagreements and fights, ragatha was still his friend in the past, albeit not as close as ribbit or kaufmo.

losing ragatha would be like losing the last connection he had to his past self and world, when he was still happy spending time with ribbit, kaufmo, and even ragatha.

more of his thoughts towards ragatha can be hinted below.

i believe "imaginary" pomni is replicating ragatha's actions.

"imaginary" pomni is trying to reach out to jax, just like ragatha did in the beginning (when ribbit abstracted).

more of jax's perspective towards ragatha can be explained below.

here, we can see that unlike real pomni, who gives jax some space to collect his thoughts, "imaginary" pomni is being incredibly forward and even invasive.

i believe he is paralleling his thoughts of ragatha towards pomni—the one other circus member that tried to reach out to him.

in episode 5, he even says this below:

to sum it up, jax despises ragatha's optimism. he views it as something fake, as if ragatha is trying too hard to make everything seem fine.

"i'm the only person who can help you" and "i can FIX you!" connects to his viewpoint of ragatha supposedly taking advantage of him. he doesn't think of ragatha's kindness as genuine, rather as a way for her to fix jax and make him overly dependent for her care.

he basically thinks ragatha is trying to have agency over him. in his opinion, ragatha is trying to enforce a relationship where jax would have to seek out ragatha's help now with ribbit abstracted, hence having control over him to fix his flawed nature.

this is why he ends up choking "imaginary" pomni.

in the last bit of the scene above, we see jax put on his "funny one" persona, just like how he did to ragatha when she tried to reach out. he is putting his walls back up, refusing to have any vulnerable connection to anyone else, like ragatha and pomni.

pomni running away at the end reveals that his plan worked. ragatha backed away from him after jax suddenly grew crueler, even if she still cared for him.

zooble

zooble's abstraction focuses heavily on gangle with her manager mask.

i think it's really interesting to point out how jax named gangle.

keep in mind that gangle came very soon after ribbit abstracted. since ribbit's abstraction was the beginning of jax's spiral and cruelty, having gangle come right after gave him the perfect opportunity to begin his "funny guy" persona, or in his case, be violent and sadistic.

hence, by naming gangle, he was establishing his control over her.

in the zooble abstraction scenario, he wears the maid fit to make fun of zooble's "gender issues," even when gangle has her manager mask on.

jax clearly recognizes the close bond gangle and zooble formed (abstragedy). however, now with zooble gone, he is free to insult and hurt gangle however he wants, as zooble is no longer there to defend gangle.

hence, wearing the maid fit to not only insult gangle, but also zooble in the process shows that even in his most vulnerable appearance, he will always have control over her.

he continues taking advantage over gangle in the next scene.

this just further shows jax loving the idea of having control over gangle.

he reduces the sheer physical and verbal torment he exhibited towards her into "tsundere" behavior, doing everything he can to mess around with her now with zooble gone.

notice how he completely dismisses gangle saying she hates him. jax doesn't respect gangle's true feelings at all.

gangle

i don't really have an in-depth analysis for gangle's abstraction scene, but i did notice how the entire scenario revolved around a "looney-tunes" cartoonish tone.

in this case, zooble is the focus of gangle's abstraction scenario.

like he did to gangle, jax is taking advantage of zooble. by framing zooble as someone obsessed and heartbroken over gangle, he is reducing the true friendship (more like situationship) zooble and gangle had together.

jax's cartoonish mask completely takes over. gangle was one of the primary circus members that he believed embodied his belief of everyone being archetypes, so gangle abstracting basically strengthens his denial and refusal to be real.

pomni

i believe the trapped door is supposed to be pomni's abstraction. jax and kinger weren't close in the show, so i don't think it's kinger.

it's interesting to see how jax won't even entertain the thought of pomni abstracting, even after pomni asked him in episode 6.

if this is how strong jax's reaction is towards the possibility of pomni abstracting, it is clear how much jax has grown to care for her, even if he was an idiot and pushed her away.

after ribbit, pomni was the one other person that truly connected with him. by losing that second genuine friendship, he'll most likely lose himself in the process, since he nearly did for ribbit.

keep in mind, even after jax became incredibly cruel, pomni was still able to bring some of his true personality back, where he wasn't as sadistic and merely joked around. losing a genuine person like her would make him lose his real self completely.

almost the entire group sided with the TME bootlicking fascist because they said they "felt bad" about it. and i have been painted as some callous manipulator and had lies about me smeared all across campus. my entire friend group dissolved because i "wasn't being fair to them" and "lacked compassion". That i should give a second chance to the dude who said AI is the future, that AAVE is a devolution of English, is pro-landlord, and who proudly supports eugenics.

Would it shock you to learn that there was only one TMA person in the group besides me, and one of the few who doesn't still hate me? And that the people who sided with the fascists believed that trans women were "taking up" all the queer spaces?

This is just how it is for many trans women. The expectations for the behavior of transfems is sky-high. There is the assumption of bad-faith inherently, and the burden of proof for behavior as non-malicious is unreasonable.

Transmisogyny isn't just when people are mean online. Transmisogyny is the unconscious belief that trans women are dangerous and perverted. This group was seemingly afraid to touch me. And with my flat affect, unexpressive face, and lower empathy expression, it was only a matter of time before i did something to confirm what they believed all along - that trans women are not to be trusted. They would never say it out loud. They'd be scandalized when told they believe it. But the unconscious biases nonetheless demonstrate it's true.

Me, at the time, a 19yo with very little understanding of the law: “I mean…was it?”

Fandom Friend, who was a 40-something lawyer: “I’ll tell you the same thing I told everyone in that bar. No one was violating anyone’s free speech. Bitch was just being rude, and worse, obnoxious about it. You ever act like that in public, be aware you’re not changing anyone’s opinion. You’re just giving them a brand new opinion about you.”

It was a very formative conversation in my young adulthood.
