hihihi!! sorry it took me so long to get to this—i was actually thinking about talking through the process of two other pieces, but i never finished them😭 this is my first finished full-background piece in years in fact, so i'm really happy about that!!

i don't think there's anything too special about my art process—the most notable things would be that:

1) i do go straight in with lines like that without a base sketch, & typically with a neater end product—that's what pen drawing all the time does to a mf... the sketch for this piece is only that messy because i knew i'd be painting over it later. you can also see the sketch for matilda was so messy i was eventually like "i can't work with this" and redraw her partway through, so i did suffer for that </3

2) apart from some very minimal colour adjustments with the airbrush, i do all my colouring/painting/rendering with the lasso tool! which might be fucked up but it's what works for me—it's how i best block out shapes and make adjustments on the fly.
