I'm about to graduate high school in a month, and I don't think I'm ready.

Everyone I know keeps asking what I plan on doing after school.

And I just respond with a "Work then maybe collage in a year."

But in reality, I don't know what I'm going to do.

I have good grades with an average of 80% on most of my school work, but it doesn't feel enough.

I don't even have a job or driver's license and my card doesn't work properly but I haven't had time to see why because the bank is only open on weekdays and school takes up all of my time other then on weekend so the bank is always closed for me.

I don't even want to drive but I have to because my town has no public transport and even then the nearest city doesn't have any post high school education so I'll have to go to the next city over. So useful public transport is over an hour away.

I don't even know if I want to go to collage and drown myself in debt because everything I want to work for in the future is being replaced with ai or it doesn't have a good and stable future for me because everyone is going to do it because it's the few jobs that isn't being eaten away by ai.

And that's if none of the courses I want to do gets dropped by the collages because of inflation and the government not funding 'basket weaving jobs' compared to years before.

The job market feels way too scary with personality hearing and seeing that you basically have to make a deal with the devil and sell your soul just for an interview at McDonald's. And even then, they all treat you like you can always just be replaced if you step out of line.

I already know I won't be able to have the life I dreamed of as a kid, and it wasn't all that demanding. It was just owning a house and having a stable and livable job. But that now feels like a fairytale.

I don't even expect myself to rent. Nevertheless, own a house. I'm not even completely sure if I'll even be able to get an apartment in the next decade.

With inflation and everything just getting more and more expensive and jobs being dropped or taken by ai, I don't know what I'm going to do.

So what I really want to say when people ask me what I'm going to do after school is:

I don't know as I don't see myself with a job or even a small one room apartment to call home. I hate that I have to drive because there's no such thing as accessible public transport. Everything is being taken by ai and greedy companies that just want their employees gone because they can't treat them like slaves and not pay them. Inflation is through the roof, and everything is 100 times more expensive than when I was a kid and promised a good future. I spent the last 14 years of my life in the education system, and I don't know what to do with myself without it. Nothing sounds worthwhile anymore, and I don't want to just waste my life away on false hope when my hope is and has been gone for years.

☆ I had some fun trying to refrance the Robins through Nick's clothing. Although I forgot about Duke, Steph, and didn't have any room for Duke when I realised I forgot about him, but I just managed to sqweeze in some purple for Steph.

It feels so weird watching a show that people grew up with and seeing it for the first time at 18 (ok, I first saw it last December, so I was technically 17 when I started watching it).
