My really cool old box that I am struggling to fully identify. I know it’s “G. Blackman Superfine Colour Preparer” if anyone seeing this wants to try a shot at it.

That link is what I'm using as a resource to help with the colors, specifically on page 66 where it lists the names of old colors of other old watercolour kits.

Here's what I got (first picture start top left): (TOP) Vermillion - Sap Green - Verditer - Yel(low) Ocre (2ND) L.T. Red (not sure what the LT means) - Bruns Gre(en)(?) -Crimson Lake - Van(dyke) Brown (3RD) Black - Clr(?) Yellow - Indigo Second picture (minus ones already named): (TOP) Burnt Umber - Raw Sienna (2ND) Gamboge - Pn. Blue (prussian blue?) (3RD) Green Bice - Burnt Sienna - O(range) Lead

Third picture (minus ones already named): (TOP) Verdigris - O. Orpiment (2ND) Fl. (?) White - Indian Red (3RD) Ultramarine - ??? Yellow (Kings Yellow?)

this freaking color line up is toxics leads mccolors george, and should not just be Laying On My Bed

LT red is "light red", the Fl. White stands for "flake white" aka lead white. I still am not sure on the yellows

The PDF I linked does!! mention G. Blackman, but does not go in depth. Charlotte Brontë has a museum section(?)(at least in 2009) (http://www.wildyorkshire.co.uk/naturediary/docs/2009/4/24.html) with her watercolor box that is a G. Blackman and is similar. But the design of the cakes are different

The information I am able to find is extremely lacking, but I find it hard to believe it's fully a fake because that'd be a lot of effort. However I am not fully sold on this box being freaking 200 years old, that's a lot of years?
