I think the basic issue with a lot of media which purports to be about awful, fucked up people is that beyond a certain point it can't just be an aesthetic; you've got to have them actually do awful, fucked up things to each other, or else they're not awful and fucked up, they're just grumpy.

If you're tagging your stuff as "toxic yuri" and I've seen people who were friends in real life do worse shit to each other and laugh it off the next day, you need to step up your game, is what I mean to say.
