a lot of us trans people start out wishing we could shapeshift as kids, being fans of plastic man or ms. marvel or double-trouble or elastigirl as our fav characters….. and then later, AFTER puberty, realize “oh, i wanted to be able to magically turn into something that didn’t give me gender dysphoria, like a quirky genderless robot or an edgy emo anime boy or something like that. i wanted to be able to shapeshift cuz i couldnt imagine or think of any other way to alter certain parts of my body…. but now im an adult/older teen and know about the existence of testosterone patches & chestbinders & stuff like that”

Like my guy this shit isn’t fun trust me I’d much rather be doing your essay instead of crying, shouting, or whatever way my mental health decides to manifest itself into that day. But it not convenient I can’t just turn it off and turn it back on, I had a school consular tell me to try thinking of happier thoughts and that I was being too negitive with my line of thinking...okay Cheryl, do you want my depression, Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, and whatever other chemicals are fucked up?
