Goatzy Petz and Thingz

Heyo! I put out an update to the Pride Wormz breed way back in November last year, with more flags, better 2nd gens, and non-unibreed files!

Yes! Finally, some new content!

You can find this breed under the breeds section of my website, the source for this post. I've been craving overly cute goat petz for quite some time, finally made them! Also, they breed well! You get some weird nose combos, and the eye details sometimes mess up or disappear, but otherwise they do exactly what I want. And man was that annoying. I finished the breed in less than 4 hours. It took me an additional 3 to get them breeding right.

They're available for Petz 4 and 5, in a ow of the scottie and a non ow version.

Also, for those who haven't seen, I did a major code rehaul on my site early this month!

And by major rehaul, I mean I wrote the thing new from the ground up. Looks similar, but is completely different. It adapts to different screens pretty well, including mobile! Only section that hasn't been updated is Rag and Rug's, which has a warning before you enter.

I made a not on the home page about my site. The short of it is; It needs work, which will take a while.

I also fixed some links, and updated the image for the curry comb to a recorded gif from the game so it's more accurate!

well here's an update for anyone curious I guess. Where have I been, what have I been doing, and such.

Yes that's right, I finally champed Salvo (albeit with a lot of points from fun shows, but I don't really care)!

In light of that, I'm introducing a new poodle to my show line up (I'm terrible to myself), Goatzy's Doves on the Palisade "Marble"!

(No, I won't stop with the ridiculous melodramatic names.)

This gal was a pain in my rear to breed, using only ob petz 4 dogz. In the end I still had to brex her size up, but oh well. The rest is all natural (and horrifically inbred, unfortunately). I should've just found a poodle overwrite that transfers their coats. My goal was a long tail white poodle, and it took ~2.5 continuous hours of breeding to get that.

Let's just ignore my other poodle I need to champ, yeah?

Now, onto me.

And all around I’ve just been very busy! I’ll have a new hexie available on my archive soon, my crew site is alive with a find it, although there’s only some hexed petz rn. I’m trying out mediafire for downloads, but that’s a story for another time. I’ve got a lot of hex work planned, and I’ll hopefully be uploading more adoptions/auctions to different petz sites.

Now, I gather this is only something that primarily plagues new hexers who are making funky external breeds, but I know I’m not the only person who has had issues with this.

I had this issue with my Pride Wormz. The solution?

Put that texture list back where it belongs.

You make a funky breed. It doesn’t use textures. So you think you’re good to remove the texture list entirely?

Well, it might seem like it at first. There’s nothing visibly wrong, but when you go to breed it? Uh oh. It’s telling you that the petz can’t breed. Yeah. 

Fix:

Go to the lnz of the original breed, unaltered. 

Find the [Texture List], copy and paste at least one of the textures back into your unbreedable file. (If you’ve removed the texture list entirely, just plug it back in somewhere. [Texture List] just like that.) You may want to paste the entire list. But from my experimentation, only one is necessary.

If needed, go through and set the texture of all visible ballz and addballz to -1. This is not necessary if you have already done so or use un-texturable colours.

Save and done! You should now be able to breed your petz, both new and previously adopted ones from what I can tell.

Oh. My. Fucking. God.

It took waaaayyy to long to make this. It was bad enough I feel cussing is appropriate on this blog. Which I normally try to keep as clean as possible.

Anyway, here’s an edit of Salvo doing his strut. I’m going to immediately show this off everywhere possible.
