She raised a brow before lowering her head. “Of course. I was just… Nevermind. It was a useless idea. I wish you all the luck possible.” Smiling softly, Jane went silent.

Varren straightened up.  “I promise I’ll be fine!  But you can get my comm and I’ll send you messages and stuff I got an omni and it’s old and shit and stuff but it sends messages!”

Shepard smiled. "I'd like that. Make sure to send a message if you ever need help. I may be often busy but I'd like to help where I can."

She blinked silently. “Vents? That’s… That’s no place for someone so young to live.” Shaking her head, Shepard made her decision. She knew she would be scolded by half the crew but she could care less. “You can come live on the Normandy. Much safer.”

They frowned.  “I can make it in the vents!  I’ve lived there a whole…”  They paused, counting on their fingers.  “Four months!  I’ve got it set up real good and I know the vents cause I was a runner for stuff.”

((Can you guys do me a favor and reblog this if you're interested in RPing something other than sex? I mean...like, if I can start an RP with you without worrying that you're going to be constantly trying to seduce my character or steer the action toward something like that. Shepard nodded lightly, her thoughts wandering again. “Do you have anywhere safe to go after this? Like… A type of shelter for the night?” Concern was obvious in her voice even through her efforts to hide it.

“I sleep in the vents!” They said simply.  To them after all, that was adequate shelter.

“At least once, every time I’m here.” She smiled softly and looked what had caught their eye.

“It’s weird to think you can just come by a place over and over and people remember you and stuff.”  They didn’t have anywhere they felt safe enough even going by more than once or twice.

She nodded. “Alright. Doesn’t matter what it costs, really. You’re right. I do have the money for it.” She picked out her own food and waved over someone to take their order before telling them.

They stuck with their original order, legs kicking a bit.  Not quite tall enough for their feet to reach the floor just yet.  “So you go to this place a lot?” they asked.  They spoke to her but watched the area around them, clearly interested in the people.
