My stances on certain topics:
Proship means ship and let ship, anti-censorship/anti-harrassment, fiction does not efffect reality on a 1:1 basis, and my kink is not your kink and that's okay. It does NOT mean problematic ship, it does NOT condone nonces or predators.
Com/darkship simply explores dark and taboo topics in fictional settings, which do not condone these acts in the grand scheme of things.
Paraphilias are sexual attractions towards things that are considered atypical, because the human brain, along with sex and sexuality are complicated. It is only a paraphilic disorder if it impairs your quality of life, or you feel as if you have to enact on said attractions. Thoughs do not equal actions, and a person is only a predator if real people are harmed or if real people are depicted without consent, regardless on if they are adults now.
Babies, infants, and children cannot consent, ever. Teenagers will and do have sex whether you like it or not, and the age of consent only applies if you are close in age (max 3 years) to the minor. Personally speaking, I feel like the age of consent should be higher.
If you disagree, I don't give a fuck. I implore any adult to read up on the wisdom of repugnance and examine your responses to dark topics. Silence breeds power to opressors, especially as they've been mask off in recent years. So tell your story, even if it hurts, even if it's flawed.

you notice over time that some people clearly understand the concept of thinking critically about the media they consume and who its created by but dont want to do the critical thinking themselves so they just like. wait for people on the internet to tell them what theyre allowed to like in order to keep their Good Person score high or whatever. which doesnt seem very productive to me i think.
I like writing fanfics, but then I realized no one reads it because it's an OC pairing, so sometimes (or rather most times) I thought "why bother since no one read it?". I barely reach an audience and I always feel insecure when I saw other people's achievement.
Any advice on how to overcome that?
write it for yourself and your own enjoyment. youβll always feel like itβs never enough if you write for strangersβ approval, and also it goes from a hobby you do because of the love and passion you have for your characters and stories to something that you have to chase after β and you just place your own passion and happiness into the hands of strangers. and yeah it will always be exhausting.
I donβt know how long youβve been here, but if youβve been following me long enough, you may have heard that I used to write for a very small fandom where the majority of the works were from me and, because barely anybody has heard about the source material, almost nobody read what I wrote. but that didnβt affect me or the love I had for writing. because I wrote it for me.
I write fics about squid game now, so itβs not really a small fandom anymore. but I only changed fandom because my hyperfixation shifted from my old fandom to squid game, not because of the lack of audiences I experienced while writing for my previous fandom. I didnβt regret anything and Iβm glad I got to write what I wrote, doesnβt matter if itβs popular or not.
so just write it for yourself. I know how amazing hits, kudos and comments are, but theyβre not the reason why I write. fic writing is a hobby. you donβt have suck the fun out of it by turning it into a chore or a job, or something about which you can only be happy if strangers allow you to by reading or acknowledging it.

I kinda like the idea of jax becoming a cautionary tale of what happens when you let dysphoria and self hatred eat you alive. I've met so many of him IRL in my own circles. I think people need to hear it. I need more characters who eat themselves alive and actually have to suffer the consequences of not choosing to be better. It's pretty refreshing to see a different and nuanced take on dysphoria and how it doesn't always manifest the way you would expect.
