My stances on certain topics:
Proship means ship and let ship, anti-censorship/anti-harrassment, fiction does not efffect reality on a 1:1 basis, and my kink is not your kink and that's okay. It does NOT mean problematic ship, it does NOT condone nonces or predators.
Com/darkship simply explores dark and taboo topics in fictional settings, which do not condone these acts in the grand scheme of things.
Paraphilias are sexual attractions towards things that are considered atypical, because the human brain, along with sex and sexuality are complicated. It is only a paraphilic disorder if it impairs your quality of life, or you feel as if you have to enact on said attractions. Thoughs do not equal actions, and a person is only a predator if real people are harmed or if real people are depicted without consent, regardless on if they are adults now.
Babies, infants, and children cannot consent, ever. Teenagers will and do have sex whether you like it or not, and the age of consent only applies if you are close in age (max 3 years) to the minor. Personally speaking, I feel like the age of consent should be higher.
If you disagree, I don't give a fuck. I implore any adult to read up on the wisdom of repugnance and examine your responses to dark topics. Silence breeds power to opressors, especially as they've been mask off in recent years. So tell your story, even if it hurts, even if it's flawed.

this is a thing i saw on tiktok and it's been bothering me forever and ever. okay yeah you took bad decisions/hurted people/etc. but that doesn't mean that you're destinated to hurt people or to be a bad person forever and ever. perhaps at the moment you thought what you were doing was good. perhaps you were trying to protect yourself. perhaps you just didn't know any better. perhaps you thought that it wouldn't be that bad. whatever thing you've might've done on the past doesn't define you in any sort of way. you are a human being and you will do a lot of mistakes until you die. putting yourself down won't help on anything. others putting you down doesn't mean anything. don't let your mistakes be something that defines you, but let them be a reminder that you're still here and that you can grow as a person.

You know, it's funny. A few years back I would've never imagined I'd make a longfic because I used to have a strange relationship with fan content. I always used to think that in making fanart or fanfic it would make people ignore my original work entirely. It's still kind of true, but it doesn't bother me as much now than it did before.
The size of the fic was never my hurdle, I've been writing a genuine space opera for well over a decade, and working on two other stories with extensive world building attached to them. I've broken GDocs more than once. That's why I always say "the ride never ends"
The problem for me was simply allowing myself to play with toys I thought I wasn't allowed to touch. There's a comfort for me in working with my OCs; I know how they are and I can always keep them in character because they're mine. Fan interpretations of characters can vary greatly, and although it doesn't bother me much now, mischaracterizarion and the subsequent backlash it could harbour was a huge fear of mine.
I saw a post once that essentially went "Who cares if you write a character a little different than canon, people who enjoy the thing will enjoy seeing their character doing things."and that like changed something in me.
Yet another reason why Sasha's story is so interesting to me. It's an examination of taking a world that isn't one's own, trying to control it as best one can, and still having to hand it back to the creator when it's all said and done. Especially with how I go about the ending. I obsess about the ending because it's allowing both canon and fanon to exist simultaneously. It is the DNA of creative persuits. The reason we tell stories.
Is that a spoiler? God I hope that isn't a spoiler.
This is what I've been saaaaaaying. Jotaro absolutely used university and by extension his job (both as a marine biologist and as a Speedwagon agent) as a method of avoidance. The fact that he repeats his estranged father's actions and only reconsiles with Jolyne when he truly can't avoid her involvement anymore is absolutely telling for how much he was terrified of involving other people into the Joestar birthright (and subsequent curse) as well as tackling his own grief and PTSD.
