you have got to stop equating someones morals to what fiction they like and i especially mean when someone likes a media with a shitty creator. someone liking a show does not automatically mean they have the exact same morals and beliefs that the shows creator does. it is one thing to actively support a creator (by interacting with them directly or giving them money) but it is something entirely different to just watch a show that happens to be made by a bad person. if you can recognize that someone reading a book with dark themes doesn’t mean they support crimes or bad things happening in real life then you need to be able to hold those same beliefs about people who like media that was made by a bad person.
Yes, some disabilities are dynamic, and most of us in the disability community know this. However many people aren’t aware of just how dynamic some conditions can be.
A person can go from no symptoms at all to being profoundly debilitated all in one day.
Some have baseline symptoms so low and flares so high, that things can go from 1 to 10 very quickly.
I know it can seem impossible that some people’s disabilities fluctuate with such extreme variability, but this is a real phenomenon that people deal with.

I'm proship and a dark shipper and something I've been noticing is that I can't do what I want with fiction even with proshippers.

the community often gets annoyed when antis conflate proship with darkshipping — and rightfully so — but in that same vein, we have to acknowledge that being a darkshipper and liking taboo fictional content are not requirements for being proship. someone can be proship and hate dark/taboo content in fiction. that does not make them less proship, and that does not make them less deserving of community.
not every proship person is a darkshipper, and that's okay. not every proship darkshipper likes every dark trope under the sun, and that's okay.
additionally, darkshipper =/= proship. i've known plenty of people who enjoy dark or taboo content, and then harass and attack others for enjoying the "wrong" dark or taboo content. or, as anon said, enjoying content that's "too vanilla" or "boring". being a darkshipper does not make you proship by default, just as being proship does not make you a darkshipper by default. these are two separate (though closely linked) communities. there is a big overlap, but you have to be okay with proship people who don't like dark content.
proship means being anti-harassment and anti-censorship. if you think it's okay to harass or censor people for the "right" reasons, then you're fundamentally not proship.
