for how much anidala makes me depressed™️, nothing comes remotely close to how i start to get choked up whenever i think about anakin and ahsoka.
i have three siblings. sometimes i love them, sometimes i despise them, all the things that come with being siblings, yadda yadda. just having to imagine to have to let one of them go gets me insanely depressed.
yes, they’re annoying, yes, they do dumb shit, yes they act as if they always know better and yes i would throw them into the sun on a bad day
but they’re my siblings. and that makes all the difference. we grew up together, we did dumb shit together, we lead each other in the stupidest decisions ever because we literally are the blind leading the blind, but we were together.
the world always seems less brutal when you have someone who sees you at your core, at how annoying, stupid, and sometimes shitty you are, but still accepts you like that. ahsoka and anakin were that. they were siblings, and no one can tell me otherwise. three years may feel so short, but when you are in a severely traumatic situation like they were, it feels like an eternity.
and you may have people who care about you, who love you unequivocally, however, they aren’t that person whose presence is enough to soften the world. they aren’t that person that you blindly trust just on the principle of ‘you know me, i know you. tell me to jump and i’ll ask how high.’
being a sibling is so different than everything else.
idk sometimes seeing brothers and sisters going through it™️ (also looking at you, anakin and obiwan) makes me so so so upset. it’s like sharing a soul, for me. i am all that my siblings are, and they are all that I am on a fundamental level.
