Eloise bridgerton and Mary Bennet in TOBS certainly have trusts in common but at the end of the day, their core beliefs and desires in relation to romance are starkly different and that is FINE , it does not make either of them lesser than the other just different. Forcing Eloise into a romantic plotline goes against what has been set up for her character for an entire four seasons and is genuine character assassination as compared to Mary who grows into her character and desires throughout the story and finds romantic love like she desired which is character growth not assassination.

Jack continually being the most honorable man whilst also being a thief. Belle coming to him, her dying mother in her arms, her mother who’s repeatedly tried to have Jack arrested and hanged and Jack just looks at Belle, the woman he loves and she says “I know she’s been terrible to you.” And he again, so simply replies “she’s your mother” as in, of course I will help her. It doesn’t matter what she’s done. He loves Belle enough not to hold her mother’s life in the balance between them. That would be a twisted kind of cruelty. He stole the platinum just in case he heart surgery failed and he needed to save her again. He’s helped Fagin just to be free to be with her as a gentleman. The thief being the only truly good man in the room is such a trope but wow did this show perfect it with Jack Dawkins.
