ASTRO FACTS!

ASTRO FACT: have you ever wondered what's on the other side of a black hole? Well, It's different every time but the last 3 times I went through one I ended up in a shoe department. With reeeally big shoes. Adidas. What's up with that?

ASTRO FACT!: no point worrying about anything when your life is far far less than even a flash of a second compared to what has been and what will become of the entire universe !!

ASTRO FACT: whether you're aware of it or not, we are all a part of an ongoing ballet performance. We on Earth are part of a smaller group of dancing planets and stars, all revolving around each other in choreographed formation. Instructors, choreographers and spectators have an overall view of the synchronized solar systems in the ballet from outside any given galaxy. Some say intergalactic choreographers compete for popularity in their productions.

ASTRO FACT!: Our sun and North America's PNW are in love. They have been for thousands of years but neither had gathered up the courage to do anything about it until now. Yes, the entire PNW is on fire because the sun decided to show an act of forbidden love through a little smooch. RIP pnw.

ASTRO FACT: With each passing year, our own Gerald (sun) becomes an even more vibrant, juicy orange color. This is because of the plumes of radioactive “Sunny-D” flavored dust that are blown off of mars and directly into it.

ASTRO FACT: Planets orbit stars simply because they’re so attracted to how hot they are.

ASTRO FACT: If you’re looking to buy cheese in space, just head to the Andromeda Galaxy. I can’t tell you why right now for confidential reasons, but just trust me. You won’t be disappointed.

ASTRO FACT: The true meaning of valentine’s day is sadly, often forgotten. This year, please remember to pay tribute to the gaseous masses who all decided to put aside their ongoing conflicts and love one another. After being in a state of hate and turmoil for most of its existence, it’s quite inspirational that they were able to finally make peace within their gas clan and smother each other with love until they birthed out stars. Without this historic event, our galaxy, along with our own existences, would not be here today.

ASTRO FACT: Jupiter is well known for being the fastest spinning planet in our solar system. Many wonder why this speedy spinning occurs. Inside the gas planet lives its guardian, the Speedo-Torpedo whaleshark. This majestic being is about 1/8th the size of the actual planet and is able to swim inside of it. To keep adventurers away from its treasure, the whaleshark swims in a circular pattern around the outer border at incredible speeds to keep it spinning on its axis so quickly. This also causes the storms which make it increasingly difficult for anyone to get to the center.

ASTRO FACT: It has been proven that at the center of every gas planet is a neatly packed prize. Since no one has made it back alive, it is unknown what these treasures are. Currently, the only standing theory is based off of one man’s claimed experience in the center of Uranus, where it is told he discovered a box of chicken wings. While this does remain a strong possibility, there is currently no standing proof of his journey.

(not an astro fact??) I have a question for all of my lovely astronomy lovers! I’ve recently been thinking about making informational videos complete with diagrams and or animations to better illustrate the true facts I provide about our universe. These videos would involve me, a very qualified astronomer, in a lab coat explaining what needs to be told about how our universe works. Leave comments! Feel free to tell me, “hey that sounds uncool. You should stick to the text posts.” or “hey that sounds cool. Please do that.”

ASTRO FACT: When you wish upon a star… it probably won’t care. Stars are generally pretty grumpy and go through a lot.

ASTRO FACT: The sun isn't undergoing "nuclear fusion", he's just hungry for surrounding planets. Let him eat.

ASTRO FACT: dwarf planets (such as Pluto) are used as other planets' juggling balls. Planets like Neptune and Mars are considered to be the best at juggling and are highly praised for their impressive skill throughout the solar system.
