i really love when redesigns make them more like animals. or at least make them all on the same level of anthropomorphism 😭 i hate that aj falls into the trope of girl animal characters cant be as animal as the boy characters. girl animal vs boy animal meme. like the girl characters have to have hair and walk on two legs or whatever is werid in the context of animal jam. it makes them feel so out of place when i feel like the alphas should really be like the animals of jamaa but like older and wiser cause they are soldiers. ..

an unfiction story or even ARG or internet horror series set in animal jam classic would go crazy hard i think. like its perfect for an audience of adults who grew up playing animal jam, doubly so with the fact that the game is still up and running. like we got roblox unfiction, minecraft unfiction, even club penguin kinda in a way??(that one animation series about club penguin after the shutdown)

im just sayin man. animal jam is the perfect vessel for the next nostalgia-bait unfiction project. the only thing i think that would get in the way is you cant edit animal jams assets like you could in a minecraft or roblox project, so youd have to either get real good at editing recordings and post processing effects or just be really creative with how you depict things

im adding on to this because i just remembered one of my favorite pieces of old animal jam creepypastas, "The Goat Myth" which is unfortunately nearly completely lost EXCEPT FOR a copy-paste of it on Quotev of all places https://www.quotev.com/story/15777011/Animal-Jam-Creepypastas/7 it does EXACTLY the kind of unfiction internet horror shtick im thinking of, adding on to the game with something that would seem very plausible and believable while also incorporating horror elements. i fuckin love this creepypasta its like exactly what i would love to see in a AJC horror project

also it was written like several years before goats were added to animal jam so like you could get the goat sprites from the aj rendering website and recreate it as its own video and it would be PERFECT

once again adding on to this long ass post and making it even longer cause i came up with a concept for a AJ unfiction project

something akin to the Basement of Secrets, where you have to click on a specific like 10x10 pixel area on the bottom left of the map,

but on different areas of the map that are either not used by any land or are spots inbetween lands that dont highlight any area like the island between Kani Cove and Bahari Bay

when you go to any of these areas, youre taken to entirely New unfinished or unused rooms, maybe something even like the hidden developer rooms like "Test Room", "Speedo Sands", "Andrew's" developer rooms, and the "TBA" adventure (which could be its own unfiction concept on its own for like unfinished adventures)

theyd be either Handdrawn backgrounds which could be REALLY difficult but if pulled off well look Amazing, or Old concept art for rooms like the Lobo Cavern and the Sarepia Forest concept art (both drawn by Mark Jarman)

EDIT BECAUSE I WAS THINKING OF IT AND FORGOT ALSO LARGELY HUGELY INSPIRED BY THE 2015 AJPW TREASURE HUNT MAP THAT EXPANDS THE JAMAA MAP like look at all the POTENTIAL. every location here HAD names too
