Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky

He’s covered in blood, sweat, and dirt.  He’s exhausted, and his uniform is torn; but he needs to keep going.  The bundle in his arms is why he needs to keep going.  

While looking for Bucky, he had found out about Hydra’s experiment.  When hiding in SHIELD, they had collected DNA from him, and mixed it with Bucky’s DNA to create a new asset.  They were planning on training the child to become a soldier.  One blindly obedient.

Steve had gotten there in time.

Once he’s inside, he drops his shield to the ground with a clang before slipping down the wall, careful of the bundle in his arms.  He hasn’t seen more than the infant’s sleeping face.  He doesn’t know if it’s a boy or a girl.  All he knows is that the child is his.  He’s a father.  And he’ll protect his child fiercely.

He hadn’t told anyone where he was going.  He hadn’t gold anyone about the experiment.  So the figure before him must be a bit shocked that he’s holding a child.

The rumor was that Hydra was still around.  All of its known leaders were dead, but that didn’t mean that they had all of the names. Clearly, there were still members out there; because SHIELD was still fighting Hydra, and now Steve had been given a location from Coulson of a Hydra facility where they had once held Bucky.

Steve was destroying each and every one of them.

He was furious for what had been done to his best friend, who was currently recovering in a safe house under Sam Wilson’s protection.

Dressed in a Stealth Uniform and with shield painted black, he made his way into the compound.  He took out the few agents that challenged him, while others ran away in fear of his anger.

After ten minutes, he finally came to a computer and connected a special USB drive that would download all the information on the servers so he could bring it to SHIELD.
