The Hannover Bridge is one of the largest #container #vessels in the #world. It is registered in #Panama but has a #Japanese ship-owner and #German name. With a capacity of almost 8212 TEU (20 foot long containers), and with 336m lenght and 46m beam, this #monster has to go through the Agua Clara locks as it won’t fit the #century old #chambers. It took two hours and a half to go through!. We had enough time to catch it before the chambers were locked behind the #ship with it’s two tugboats, see the next chamber get filled with water and see the next gates opening, then the ship going through it, have lunch afterwards and then, on the way to the next set of locks (#Gatun locks), almost three hours later… This one was just getting out!. #Panama #PanamaCanal #Sailing #containervessel #Gatun #Colon #Aguaclara #morehashtags (at Esclusas De Agua Clara, Colon)
