Do you know how old the oldest person in the world is? 118-years-old! Can you imagine living for 118 years? There are a lot of things that come with age: wisdom, work, and wrinkles! There’s more than that, but there are many differences between young and old people. Children and babies tend to have bigger heads and chubby cheeks, while older people grow taller and have a more defined face. Look above to see all the ways people’s appearance can change with age!

There are so many wonderful colors in the world. Rose red, canary yellow, cerulean blue, royal purple, and so many more amazing colors! However, there are some people in the world who can’t see certain colors. This is called “color blindness.” You may or may not be color blind, but one way to tell is if you can tell two certain colors apart. Some color blind people can’t tell red and green apart, and some can’t tell blue and yellow apart! It all varies from person to person, but overall, some people just don’t see colors the same way others do. Comment if you or someone you know is color blind!

What has scales, is cold-blooded, and can regrow its tail? A lizard! Lizards (and many reptiles) are incredibly fascinating creatures! As said before, lizards are coldblooded. No, they don’t have cold blood, but they need to be in warm temperatures, or else their entire body will become too cold! They can also regrow their tails in case they get hurt. Isn’t that amazing?! Let’s go through this step-by-step tutorial and learn how to draw these fascinating creatures! 

How you ever drawn a picture and couldn’t decide how to color it? I’ve had this problem many times! For example, when I’m drawing hair, I don’t know if I should color it blonde, brown, red, black, or maybe even blue! There are so many beautiful colors to choose from, and it can be hard to decide! Well, let’s a take this small puppy and choose a color. I’ve colored him blonde, brown, grey, and tan. Out of all these colors, which one is your favorite? I like the tan since it brings out so many amazing patterns! You may think differently, but you see, sometimes there’s no such thing as a “correct” color, but first, make a list of colors you want to use, and then through some thought, make a decision that works best for you!

Last time we drew long, straight hair. Now, let’s draw the opposite! I’ll show you how to draw short, curly hair. Fun fact, I have short, curly hair! It can be really messy sometimes, but it can also be really fun and pretty! It’s crazy how many hairstyles people can have, and I’m sure there are more styles to explore. As you follow the tutorial, comment what your hair looks like! Is it short, long, straight, curly, frizzy, or just medium? 

Look outside your window. What do you see? Well, at the moment I see a very bright, blue sky. You may see that as well. However, it may be cloudy or raining, so the sky may also be grey. Maybe it’s evening, and the sky is a shadowy purple. It may also be a bright orange as the sun goes down. Maybe it’s pink as the sun rises! As you can see, the sky isn’t just ONE color: it can be MANY different colors in just one day! Let’s explore all the colors the sky can be and comment below what color your sky is right now! 

Have you ever been to a farm? Well, if you have, you’ve likely seen a horse. Maybe you’ve seen many different horses! Horses can have so many different colors and looks to them. Whether they have big hoofs, small hoofs, grey coats with black spots, brown coats with white patches, or all black or white, they are gorgeous animals and so fun to watch. Do you like birds? Let me be more specific: Do you like owls? I LOVE owls! Also known as birds of prey, owls are nocturnal birds that hunt at night for mice and smaller animals. You may be able to hear them with their iconic “who” sound or, occasionally, the less favorable screeching sound! There are many different types of owls, but the one I want to draw in this video is the majestic, great horned owl! They have the most beautiful feathers and their horns make them look so mysterious! Do you feel those strands on your head? That’s your hair! Lot of people have hair, but some don’t. For today, let’s focus on a certain kind of hair: long and straight! Though I don’t have long or straight hair, it can still be fun to draw, so follow this tutorial and see how to draw it! 

Do you find it difficult to stay inside the lines of an image when coloring? It’s okay if you do. I too find myself accidentally coloring outside the lines in all kinds of situations! Around 50 million U.S. citizens own a dog. Crazy fact, but with how loyal, friendly, and well-trained dogs can be, it makes so much sense! In fact, you may own a dog right now! Though there are many types of dogs that can be big, small, strong, lean, active, or lazy, let’s draw a simple labrador retriever.

Noses are so neat! Did you know your nose naturally cleans itself every time you breathe? Aren’t our facial features so neat!? As fun as it can be to talk about noses, they can be hard to draw! No worries, let’s draw a simple nose together in just a few steps!

What do red and green have in common? Well, they’re both colors, right? Yes, but they’re both COMPLEMENTARY colors. What are complementary colors? Well, they are colors that are opposite and contrasting to each other. During Christmas, we see red and green used all the time. That is a great example of complementary colors, but can you think of another time you’ve seen complementary colors? Maybe orange and blue, or yellow and purple?

Cats are my favorite animal! My cat, Dexter, is the cutest orange tabby. He’s 11-years-old, but when he first got him as a kitten, he was so sick. Most young kittens are, so let’s try to keep them as healthy as we can. For today, here’s a healthy, grown-up cat!
