before she could even move to stop the girl from grabbing her dog, the young girl was already on him — causing the german shepherd to yelp in surprise and shake her off. wincing to herself, soojin would pray that the kid’s parents weren’t anywhere close because she really wasn’t in the mood to get lectured as she crouched down to the girls level and smiled softly. “sorry about that, are you okay ? ” she frowned, one hand reaching to dust off the child’s shirt and the other reaching behind her to calm her antsy dog. “you have to be careful, sweetie. my dog’s deaf, he can’t hear you coming–” honestly, soojin is lucky that all ferris did was shake the girl off. he’d once bitten her during the first year she’d had him bc she’d been too impatient to get his attention, she still had the scar and the guilt to prove it. “you can pet him but you should ask me first, okay ? always ask permission first, you know ? ”

it was a mistake to bring juri to the park alone, that was the thought that ran through joon’s mind as he scanned the park for any familiar signs of his little sister. she was a handful, he knew that from the moment he offered his parents that he’d watch her for that afternoon while they took the family’s youngest son for his bi-annual checkup. the little girl was at the stage where she was interested at any and everything, quick to run off and ask questions later once she reached her point of destination. joon just had to blink once and she was already gone which led the rapper to his current predicament much to his own annoyance though it was mostly towards himself.

it was then when he heard a shout, a bark, and then a scream ringing out in a domino effect nearby which pretty much startled joon. he knew his sister’s voice anywhere and hearing her suddenly scream out of shock was enough for joon to go into big brother mode only to find the scene in front of him wasn’t at all what he expected. 

there was his sister pouting, her eyes glossy with disappointment while a female figure gently chided her in what looked like on how to approach the dog beside them. oh. it didn’t take long for joon to finally piece what happened together, especially when he finally recognized who the female and the dog actually were.

since the news had broken out, joon made sure to keep himself under the radar. he didn’t accept any texts or calls from people begging for his commentary on his ‘scandal’ nor did he really speak to anyone generally regarding his sudden departure from red light -- not that anyone would believe him anyway. after all, who would believe a traitor in this industry? right. no one.

but minho continued to reach out, leaving multiple voice mails and sending multiple texts to the older male’s phone encouraging joon to talk to him. the rapper couldn’t blame him; he left everyone in the dark about his actions, the company’s actions, and went mia when everything blew up. whether it was out of frustration or shame, joon shouldn’t have left the fire to burn his bridges. or at least what’s left of them.
