( christmas shopping - yohan
fmpark:
âi think haejin definitely wants some, so weâll get some for him â iâm fine.â haejin looks around, makes a choice, begins to walk in that direction. park hesitantly follows, looks to bongki again, this time with a smile. âi donât think thereâs much to buy. itâs okay if itâs small, right? you know, you donât have to spend the whole time with us â if youâve got plans or something. iâm sure the guy youâre dating will want to see you in person.â
bongki never really loved christmas. during his early youth - he could only recall the sense of emptiness and the fact that every celebration seemed to fall short to whatever the television had shown him. and while his foster parents did their best to ensure that bongki had a good christmas when he had lived with them, he never really saw the appeal for it - of course he was thankful for it, but it wasnât something he looked forward to, until now at least. Â
with the choreographer spending more time with haejin and park, bongki found himself becoming a bit more excited for the holiday season. how he found himself counting the days before the holiday in order to share the day with the two others. and to see haejinâs joy towards the season was something that bongki didnât mind waiting for. even if he had to wait through endless lines and become another slave to a capitalist holiday. because if haejin wanted a toy - or wanted a certain decoration, bongki was willing to sit through the sounds of stale christmas music at hour's end. Â though he had to admit that his reasoning for being a bigger presence in haejinâs and parkâs life during the christmas season was not something purely innocent - and the biggest reason he was here was his wish to ensure park was happy.. so yes, he may of been only happy on this trip because there was a chance to hang out with park and if bongki wanted to check if the feelings he had buried so many years ago for park were able to resurface ( or was it just bongki being nostalgic towards the relationship they had during years prior. ) but he didnât mind - to spend his free time with his former lover ( but bongki couldnât say if former was still a current and up to date way to describe his relationship with park ) and haejin.
the coffee shop settled in the corner of the mall wasnât as crowded as bongki had feared - all the other shoppers to worried about missing on the deals and seemed to forget about settling down for a break at the certain coffee shop. bongki ushers the two to a table, showing haejin a soft smile as he ruffles the young boyâs hair. â one hot chocolate then, and jin just tell me what you want i really donât mind.â he insists, before shaking his head in rejection at the youngerâs dismay. â itâs just some things for the cafe you wonât put me out of my bank account just yet.â
bongki knows park worries - he knows that park is no longer the carefree and reckless young man he was a few years prior. but when the dancer mentions that bongki probably wants to spend time with his boyfriend ( the relationship that had ended without much pomp ), the choreographer pauses  for a moment, the smile that has been on his lips since he had picked the two up earlier falters, before it appears a bit strained but nonetheless appears again.
his brows furrow - the youngerâs continuous efforts to push him away are a bit disheartening, but bongki canât shake the guilt that came with the way their relationship played out all those years ago. the constant abandonment was something bongki wasnât proud of and park didnât deserve it.  â come on, do you think iâll back out on my word ?â his words a bit teasing, â i promised to take you two christmas shopping - and iâm committed to stay for a good amount of time, itâs always a bit difficult to go shopping with kids, so i donât mind distracting haejin.â  and he doesnât allow for park to disagree with his words, as he turns his attention towards the menu of the cafe, â you sure you donât want anything to drink ? maybe a muffin or something ? â he questions once more. â iâm sure haejin doesnât want to drink alone right ?â the choreographer adds, turning his attention to haejin in hopes the young boy would agree with him.â come on haejin, donât you want your brother to drink with you ? and share a brownie too ?â
