It’s a strange, circular thing, a xenonite disk mounted upright on some sort of pivot so it can spin freely, but around the edges it has… spokes? Pegs? Sticking out of it, that hit against a stiff flap that would slow down the spinning.

It is also separated into sections decorated with crude etchings of a human and an Eridian.

“Ah,” Grace says.

“That,” Rocky says.

“That’s. Um.” Grace seems somewhat embarrassed. “That’s the sacrifice wheel.”

I’ve fallen victim to the crossover ship of a lifetime

•Grover Cleveland Middle and High School do a school fair every year in the fall around Halloween

•and every year, without fail, Ryland gets voluentold to work shifts on the dunk tank. He does not understand why, but sure, whatever, he'll do it. He tends to make the most money when he's on dunk tank duty. People will pay a crap ton of money to throw a baseball and dunk Mr. Grace in the tank, apparently

•(they put him in a white shirt and everything. Ryland doesn't really question it)

•Simon ends up volunteering at the fair once he and Ryland start dating. He mans the entrance to the corn maze. They dress him up as a scarecrow

•Ilyukhina absolutely came to the school fair to A.) dunk Ryland in the tank and B.) make fun of Simon even if he, admittedly, makes a very cute scarecrow

•she takes a picture of him and sends it to Ryland. Ryland sets it as his lock screen and refuses to change it

•Simon keeps some spare towels with him at the stand to the corn maze, so when Ryland's on his breaks he can dry off. He also will usually run off to grab a hot chocolate or something for Ryland too. All of Ryland's coworkers are kind of jealous tbh

•Ryland's students *flock* to the corn maze. It's the one time of the year they're guaranteed a Simon Sighting

•Rocky helps build a lot of the booths and stuff, and he'll usually hang around and help the kids fix their booths if it's needed

•Colt will stop by too if his schedule allows. He's *gotta* dunk his brother in the tank. It's like. His civic duty

•the first time Courtland volunteered at the fair it was bc Ryland guilt tripped him into it

•(he pretended to be dead for *years*. Ryland is absolutely gonna milk that for all it's worth)

•(and I mean. Claire also goes to school here now. And Court is trying to be the Normal Stay At Home Dad. He's *gotta* volunteer at the school fair)

•Courtland got stuck manning the hot chocolate stand. He also spent the entire fair with his own b-plot going on--some rouge mercenary found him, and Courtland spent the whole time trying to take care of That Guy while also running the hot chocolate stand. He ends the night just. Covered in blood spatter. Everyone assumes it's just a costume and that he "finally got in the spirit of things". Simon, who is far more familiar with the sight of blood than he cares to admit to, is the only one who Knows

He still believes that there are kinds of live out there that go beyond what humans can comprehend, and he is going to do what he can to show it.

At the start Grace is stubborn about he having to do this by himself, but Rocky is five times more stubborn about that there is no good to be alone in space, so Grace ends going with Rocky as his engineer and Adrian as their biologist support (who is not letting their mate, nor their friend go without them for years again.) in the Hail Mary. Maybe other eridian scientists interested in the premise of finding more kinds of life in the universe decide to follow their track in another spaceship (this time with radiation protection.), but the Hail Mary is the one leading.

They never mention Grace's health, and how is getting weaker and weaker, they are to focus on recording every discovery and new planet they see. It is like all those good memories Grace and Rocky had of their time in space without the concerns of having to safe a civilization or dying of starvation.

I also like to believe that before Grace's do find a waterless life form, maybe some kind of bacteria that he names "Graceteria" or something and then he writes a paper following that essay that kick him out of the academia, showing that he was right all along, that is his last big act.

He may get back to die in Erid, he may die in space, but he did so happy and satisfy.

I also believe that he donated his corpse to science.

He dedicated his life to science; He learn from it, taught it, even make discoveries for it. I feel he would want his remains to help eridians to understand human biology better, all for the sake of sciences and progress.

Rocky is against this, but Adrian understands, and is they who do the autopsy, with as much care and solemnity they can manage in such a sad moment. All the scientist community is there, moved by curiosity of course, but more for respect.

The biodome stays intact, a memory of the alien willing to sacrifice his life for a foreign race's star. Most of eridians do not dare to go in, too afraid of disturbing the place, but Rocky would lived there if Adrian didn't have an opinion on the subject.

Grace either lets Simon make his avatar (very unfaithfully to the original) or he just randomly clicks some options with hs eyes closed (or they play it after the face reveal but yknow. not that fun)

and contrary to any belief held before the stream it was Grace who ran around getting new pokemon and completing questlines and making everyone's habitats perfect, meanwhile Simon is the world's greatest plant waterer. he spends hours just water each and every single block on that island. Grace has to stop him from watering the blocks near humidity-averse pokemon. this man has tree trauma from eden and oh god it shows. he terraformed somewhere to have like a flat piece of land, and promptly turned it into a forest. their shared house is right in the middle

(idrk how the multiplayer works in this game, i'm very much friendless, so if shit is wrong it is NOT my fault their pokopia is just differnt somehow™)
