Ok this came to me while I was scrolling podcasts. Grace and Rocky start a science podcast during Covid for his students, think something along the lines of No Such Thing As A Fish, and it gets very popular and eventually becomes both of their full time jobs. They have guests on, lots of scientists, engineers, etc and Simon comes on as a guest, perhaps to discuss botany and engineering, and has INSANE chemistry with Grace to the point where the comments/live chat are full of speculation. Rocky is, of course, super chill about it and every time Simon guests on the podcasts Rocky has to get the subject back to science otherwise it devolves into flirting.
