I put Joker and Akechi in Tomodachi and Akechi asked to move in with joker. Literally as SOON as they moved in I checked on Akechi and he said he was bored of this house and asked to move somewhere else. Boy itâs been 2 seconds!
Anyway that was yesterday and today he asked to move in with another mii so I see he regrets moving in with Joker so much

I got tomodachi and made my final fantasy character, Curt, and Owen. Owen instantly tripped on his own feet the second he left his house then fell in love with Curt when he helped him up. Not even a minute later Owen wasnât paying attention and bumped into Curt, who fell in love too. This game knows whatâs up.
Curt and my wol were going for a walk on the beach when we came across a creepy mahjong tile. It suddenly got HUGE and we ran. My wol tripped on the stairs, Curt looked back, and kept running. Nice to know heâll leave people to potentially die on staircases in every universe
Curt and Owen were playing tag and Owen tripped on his own feet AGAIN and Curt just kept running (Owen has tripped twice more since starting this message, why is he so clumsy)

I got so into the mood to write today then got a parcel for something I was looking forward to and it was super disappointing, now Iâm just sad and staring at my notes app with no real drive :(

someone I follow on the bird app just announced they're starting a very exclusive private fic server because they and a bunch of other people want to talk about how much they love the fics they're reading, and as an author can I just say that a really great place to talk about a fic you love is in the comments for that fic
I understand that people are trying to create safe spaces, but as the number of comments that I get on my fics dwindles with each passing year, knowing these spaces exist where my fics are being discussed, places that I am excluded from, makes me want to write fic LESS
I mean I guess who cares, right, because if I stop writing, there's 10,000 other people that will continue...but if you participate in a fic "book club" server and you say nice things there about a fic you loved, maybe copy and paste that into a comment on AO3?
the only thing fanfic writers are asking for in return for hours of hard work is attention. please don't rob us of the one thing that we hope for when we hit "post"
this is directly related to this post I made about how fanfic authors now are treated like content mills, and not like valued members of a creative community who thrive on interaction. for the past decade, we've watched the fandom ecosystem disrupted over and over, as NSFW fan artists seek safety by putting their work behind paywalls, and self-conscious fic readers squirrel away their feelings in invite-only communities
an easy way to do your part to fight against the evils perpetrated by social media is to leave a comment on a fanfic you love
but don't take my word for it -- here are some responses that my fellow authors have left on this post:
The fact I had a fic that was fairly beloved and NO ONE commented on it because it was all being done in a fucking book club server made me want to scream.
I haven't updated that fic in two years now.
I cannot express enough how imperative it is to show the writer how much you love their work. The comments don't have to be novels themselves - even just an "I loved this so much!" Or keyboard smashing works wonders to keep the writer going. Please, we need to bring back supporting writers and artists now more than ever!!!
I sometimes get in a state that I just donât wanna write anymore for months at a time, and sometimes a single comment is all it takes to drag me out of it and write again. Seeing familiar usernames commenting is also super awesome, and I keep guest comments on so that even if someone doesnât have an account they can say something, comments are like happiness in a can lol, as much as I donât wanna rely on them for motivation I canât really help it
favorite thing ever is leaving this gif in Ao3 comment sections
because A: a shocking amount of people don't know abt the 'img src=' trick to add images into comment sections, and B: well over half of the authors seem to really enjoy the sentiment

AI is the death of creativity. Anyone who does this to my stories and is stupid enough to brag about it will be blocked from ever reading my work again, AND I'll let everyone on tumblr know that you do this. We'll see how much fic you get to enjoy when every author blocks you forever.

WHAT
One of those times I'm reblogging something so I can find it again later
I wrote a whole chapter on the âhow Owen joined Chimeraâ fic Iâm working on in my notes app (sometimes when Iâm half asleep in bed Iâll write a bit and get carried away so it was quite a lot of writing). ANYWAY I opened my notes app on my Mac and I guess iCloud synced them up but overwrote the newest version with the old version so THE CHAPTERâS GONE. Thanks Apple, 10/10 product -_-
