Shane's character would've THRIVED after the prison era. After the prison it shows everyone as hardened survivors who are able to protect themselves. Rick mostly adopts Shane's mentality after the prison falls. RICK RIPS A GUYS THROAT OUT WITH HIS TEETH FOR THREATENING CARL. Shane would have absolutely done that too. If Carol didn't burn Karen and David during the disease, Shane would have. Shane was too harsh too early. Once we got past Terminus Rick is ready to kill everyone that survives that explosion.

This came to my mind after watching Katsuki edits. I truly like him after his development. But in the beginning where he bullies Midoryia and literally tells him to jump, I dislike him. But I also recognize that without this side his development wouldn't hit as hard. He becomes a good person and friend to Midoryia. But in the everyone everyone follows him and treats him like almost a god in a way rather by fear or respect I don't know.

But when he goes to UA they bring him down to earth because he has first of all competition, AND they aren't afraid that he can set off and blow them up. Shoto can literally freeze him, Ochaco can make him float and drop him, Momo can make ANYTHING as long as she knows its make, Aizawa can erase his quirk. Katsuki isn't a threat, no one except Izuku really knows him, the only thing they really know is the sludge attack and the entrance exam.

He grows and earns their respect and friendship. And he deserves it.

Dale is Major who wanted to rise above where they were and take control and live in peace.

Shane is Snoball who was ran out for his ideas.

Rick is a version of Neopolean who adopted Shane/Snoball's ideals but was accepted.

Daryl is Boxer who will run himself in the ground for Rick/Neopolean.

Carol is Clover who cares for Daryl/Boxer and tries to make sure he stays alive.
