Part one of season 4 of the walking dead feels super walking dead-y to me.
The whole set up at the prison is so cool and peaceful with all the farming. Overall it feels so homely and I loved seeing the prison and everyone feeling safe.
It was also very refreshing to see them struggle with something new, illness. I enjoyed seeing new characters take the spotlight while the usual "heros" were sick or going through what ever rick was dealing with lol.
Carol has become quite savage and with the two girls now in her care I can see why she is. It was sad to see rick tell her to leave, but I understand that there's not much else he can do when tyreese is so upset.
I understand why tyreese is acting the way he is but honestly it's still really annoying lol. He genuinely pisses me off so much, I feel like he's always against stuff and just being so whiney.
Another character, which we know I hate, is the governor. I fucking hate this guy. I was so annoyed that he came back and was angry at his manipulation of his new group. Everything he does is so unnecessary and just evil to be evil.
However my hate for him made for an amazing mid season. It took the group by surprise and honestly it was nice to see them lose a bit. I was so engaged the whole time watching and felt pretty much every emotion. I'm so sad that Herschel is dead, but they can't really go much forward in the show with his one leg tbh.
Overall it was brilliant and has set up well for the next half of the season.
Top 3:
Herschel
Carol
Michone
Bottom 3:
