It’s still summer but I’m already in fall (mentally)

I’m so hyped. I yearn for studying at a library with my hot coffee, everything outside is orange and I can wear a cozy sweater.

Normally I hate the town I live in but during fall and winter it looks like Starshollow.

Guys, it’s August, it’s getting darker earlier, the leaf’s on the trees are changing colors and falling off, it’s getting colder, school is getting closer.

I would not mind if the world went still, covered in benevolent silence and gentle reprieve. A warm blanket — gentle, enveloping. Kind.

I would not mind at all if the leaves fell in autumn, or the flowers blossomed in spring, if it meant the world kept moving after uncountable tragedies — for that means it has not died yet, despite everything.
