He's been stalking you for awhile now.

Anytime he was away from you he didn't really mull it over in his head as to why. It just felt.. natural.

Some pretty and peaceful thing he spotted in the woods, his woods, and when you had noticed him from a distance you didn't scream. You just froze in place, stared for a bit, then moved along. No tilt of the head, no calling out, just a silent acknowledgement before your hand darted to your jacket pocket and you continued your business in those woods.

How can someone that looked so delicate be so cold?

The second time your eyes met was when you were leaving your house, in your car, and right where the street met forest. Headlights bright on him, your expression was one of subtle surprise that shifted into resignation before driving off.

When he couldn't go watch you - usually very long or far missions - he thought about you. Wondering what you wore, ate, how you'd put on your little mask for the world and show up everyday like you were sunshine when you were really to the moon.

Quiet. Mysterious. Unexplainable..

He coveted you in his dreams, in his days off, sexual to romantic fantasies that were surely delusional but he didn't care. It didn't matter that you didn't know him or his name. What mattered was in these brief moments his image of you, was what he wanted so bad. Pretty, delicate, his.

His head tilts as he watches you get ready for bed tonight. You kept pausing, freezing, before doing whatever your brain reminded you of.

Living out near the woods gave you a chance to make your own howling trail. Instead of a garden, you made a path a little bit near your house and a little bit into the woods to the point you'd need the path to get back. A sacred little clearing to scream out everything you needed to. It was a great way to let off all that stress, anger, frustration. You had visited it every few months, but this is the first time you'd have an audience.

Toby watches on from a safe, dark, distance in the forest. Far away enough from the clearing to not be spotted but close enough to see whatever you were up to.

Then it happened. A scream. A loud, gut-wrenching, screech that has his eyes widen. And that sound, that piercing and painful sound that made him feel something he hadn't felt in a long time was coming from you.

Bare feet, black sweatpants, tank top. Shouting at the top of your lungs with all the air you can give, no words either just... yelling.

"Duh-" CRACK "...D-damn."

When you stopped, you'd tilt your head back and just stare up at the inky black sky that had speckles of night littering it like glitter tossed about a void.

You were a walking contradiction. All of that anger, wrapped up with a cute little bow.

You take a sip of water and make your way back home, and upon feeling eyes, you whip your head to see but instead hear branches crunching and bushes rustling. Scanning the brush you can only assume it's nature before making it safely back home.
