I really think that as a girl Claire would have big problems accepting her new appearance and getting used to it much longer than it could have taken Jim. Avoiding mirrors, being shy and less touchy with those she love. Jim would have to do much more than just kiss her sometimes to convince her she’s still that very same old Claire.. just bigger :3 okay those were my headcanons lmao

Proper context, me and my friend made a theory about Akiridion litters.

Aja said in the movie that akiridions have 3-5 children after the 7th kiss (but Aja and Krel are only 2)

So the Akiridion litter theory is, out of the entire litter only a select few children survive the first year, call it natural selection. I was thinking that the litters act like sort of a hive-mind for the first year and they, as siblings, only the potential to form up to 3 cores. To ensure that the ones with stronger wills get to be the ones to form the cores, they naturally pick off the weaker ones.

Steve had 7 babies, only 1-3 will survive.

I’m writing a fic about it currently, Aja clearly hadn’t made an effort to inform Steve about Akiridion culture (seeing as she didn’t warn him about 7th pregnancy-inducing kiss) and Steve enters akiridion parenthood without being properly informed that not all of his kids will be making it.
