But while Mercedes may think that a convergence of a number of factors contributed to Norris’ dominance, McLaren boss Andrea Stella pointed to the upgrades as being the main proponent for the improvement.

I feel like some people have spent so long expecting oscar to be Lando that every time he isn't, it's suddenly time to spin the excuse wheel. "The car was bad." "He's still affected by last season." "The team favours Lando."

Or, and hear me out, he's mostly putting the 3rd to 4th fastest car where the 3rd to 4thfastest car belongs, with the occasional standout weekend because motorsport is chaotic and better drivers have worse weekends.

i: did you guys hit the streets in indy at all? conor: after the race? oh, yeah! man, and after the race, and this is what was most disappointing, and i told my fellow indycar comrades this. i said "there were more f1 drivers out after the indy500 than there were indycar drivers at the bar, at clayton's country bar in indianapolis"... lando norris flew in from the f1 race in montreal. i: from montreal? conor: they were in montreal that weekend. his race sucked. the car blew up or something. we're at dinner at 10:30, and he texts me, he's like "i'm on my way", i said "what do you mean?" he's like "i'm going to be in indy in an hour" i: he literally just told his pilot like "i don't wanna go home?" conor: no. so apparently, i didn't know this... but mcl was doing something with him on the monday after the [indy]500. but i didn't know this. and so i'm at dinner with daniel, and i said "your boy is on his way" and he's like "awesome!" and so lando shows up to clayton's country bar at about 11:30. [we had to] go get him at the back door, run him through the kitchen and we drank till like 4 in the morning there, heheh, it was a great time! and no indycar drivers there... i invited everyone out... i don't know why- i'm still verbally and physically upset that no one came out with us... you got to enjoy life a little bit. i think we're all in a little too much of a (inaudible) :p

And god willing, he never will.

it's not quite as blatant as when he ripped off Lando's Academy designs pretty much exactly, but it's suspiciously similar to the newly re-released Hotel Collection and also similar to a quadrant collection
